Rosa Mexicano Glenelg

Oh, Rosa Mexicano! I've been there before and it's absolutely amazing! The food is so flavorful and the atmosphere is vibrant and fun. You have to try their guacamole, it's the best I've ever had! And their enchiladas are to die for. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Pleasantly surprised. A new establishment in Glenelg of 5 months but a national franchise with restaurants in Victoria and Queensland also. Ordered the original taco chipotle chicken with Don Julio Tequila Anjeo X 2. Very impressed with the speed and professionalism of the waitress and the accessibility of the service.

The food is very moreish and tasty but one hint, I would like to see it more thermally hot at presentation. This may be achieved by heating the tortilla breads a little and presenting on a warmed plate. Other than that, will give them another try and hope they do well. Similar restaurants of quality (not slop like others on jetty road) are Beach Bum on Brighton road.

It’s my third time visiting this place and it never failed to satisfy my palate (and eyes) each time! The interior design of this place is nothing else like anything in Adelaide. Its always inviting, funky, and so fun. Great place for early or late night tequilas, date nights and catch ups. I just learned from the staff they also offer big functions which I am looking forward to celebrate my 28th. Food is always good and made fresh and large menu for drinks. Staff are always so friendly and approachable, with smiling faces. Will definitely recommend this restaurant!

What an amazing experience, first time there and what can I say, VERY delicious food, had nachos and their signature dish, paella, what a fantastic spin on this dish, absolutely delicious with incredible flavours with amazing huge prawns and scallops!

The service was very attentive and friendly and didn’t have to wait too long for the food to be served for lunch.

The atmosphere is very relaxed and well suited to family dining or a romantic setting upstairs on the balcony, overlooking the water!

We will definitely be dining there again for a special occasion or just catching up with friends for lunch OR dinner

I feel like- the place is trying to be trendy rather than authentic. They do have vegetarian/vegan options but the portion size is a joke and it’s not even authentic Mexican cuisine… it was a bit bland. I would recommend buying their burgers, i’d admit that those were good, and the chips that come with the burgers are good too. The stuffed jalapeños were mediocre- they were leaking water. Their loaded fries were too salty and the cheese was just wrong- they didn’t use queso fresco or anything remotely mexican and the carne wasn’t even seasoned nicely: , (Their tacos were 8$ a piece and it was the smallest most sad looking taco i’ve ever seen… The tortilla wasn’t even properly toasted. The vibes were immaculate- it’s a good place to come hang with some mates and have a drink (they’ve got good cocktails). But if you’re looking for actual food? Don’t come here. Their staff was very friendly:) But yeah I think calling this place Mexican is a bit disrespectful to Mexican cuisine where’s the cilantro? Where’s the lime? Where’s the flavour yk?

Ordered Nachos and although they used meat instead of mince the meat was dry and little flavour. Average at best but it appears Glenelg appears to have low standards for food as all restaurants seem to have underserved high ratings, definitely a tourist trap suburb, I will not be back to Glenelg.

With my friends, we had reserved a table for 15 people, and when we arrived, our table had been given to another group of people. The manager's response was to argue that our booking didn't exist until we showed the restaurant's confirmation message, proving that the reservation had indeed been made. Despite this, there was no proactive response from the staff, and we had to organize another table ourselves, as it was already late to find another restaurant for a large group of people.

The saddest part is that we never received an apology or even an attempt to reaccommodate us.

The quality of their signature burritos is just so consistent! Delicious food it's insane This is the 4th time I've eaten here and I can say that they are the best Mexican food in town.

Wonderful, absolute wonderful. Chimichangas, corn and nachos all beautiful. Such a fan, this is my new go to Mexican place. Thank you for blessing our stomachs with your yummy food.

First time i tried mixican and the food are best. Service are good nice people. Atmospher beautiful. Great night im glad we eat here. Happy with everything thank you.

Nice location to sit inside, outside or on the balcony. The menu was great, the food tasted nice, but unfortunately my cousin got food poisoning from nachos which looked amazing, the food didn't seem off though, but makes us reluctant to return.

Services extremely disappointing, waited for our drink to come an hour and food to come out over an hour.
Food tasty but not sure worth the wait.

Took far to long for food to come out. A party of 20 took 1.5 hrs for everyone to get their food.only mains. They had to come out to check what was ordered. Will not go there again. Plus surcharge on every order including drinks which is not mentioned at the time.

I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again. This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool, the staff is also really friendly including tasty foods, especially, Burrito is my favourtie dish. The meals served rapidly.

Went for lunch. Very expensive for the portion sizes. $8 for stuffed jalapeños. Literally one cut in half to make "2 portions". One meal came out around 15 minutes before the others and there would've been maybe 4 other patrons in the establishment. Staff sweet, but cleared plates while others still eating. Would not recommend. Lunch in the vicinity of $150 for three guests. Have had better food for less than this. Won't return. As for the connection to Freda Kahlo? Her work was bold and bright, not chintzy like the decor.

Coming here was a complete and utter disappointment, and a massive regret. I work 3 jobs, all in customer service and 2 of which are food and beverage, if i ever did this to any of my customer's/patrons, id have my head on a stick.
If I could give this place less than 1 star, I would. Drove an hour just to come here on my only day off for the month, waited patiently for an outdoor table as we brought our dog. Stacked the dirty plates on the end of the table for easy clean up, yet somehow all the staff walked back inside empty handed.ordered our food and drinks, an hour later and still no food.kids so hungry they could cry and it grew increasingly cold outside. Approached staff who look very concerned, turns out kitchen didn't get our order. Asked for a refund and the gentleman (lets note the lady and the gentleman assisting me were lovely) offered a refund on the food and to make our food and have it out within 5 minutes. 20 minutes later and only the kids tacos came out that I requested due to the kids on the verge of a breakdown. Went back up to the counter to find they hadn't even started making the rest of the food, it's freezing cold outside and our dog was starting to freak out after being tied up for 90+ minutes. So it's now almost 9pm, and still haven't eaten, $20 wasted for parking, an hour drive back home. (Soz couldn't take photos of the food) I understand this whole ordeal mightn't have an impact on the cantina, its absolutely no skin off their nose but for me, I only get one day a month to have a family day and take them out for dinner, and this has left me in a foul mood.

We came in as a large group of 13 without a booking and the service was stellar, great team, beautiful food and atmosphere. Thank you once again, I will definitely come back and also recommend to others.

I made a reservation and when we arrived to eat they had not cleared the tables and they made us wait for more than 15 minutes.and then it was our turn to move alone to another table and we never received an apology from the restaurant manager

Went for dinner during the week it wasn't very busy.staff were friendly and informative the food came out reasonably quick, our meal was hot fresh and potion size was huge! What more can you ask for.we left very full and very happy will definitely be back.

Everything about this restaurant was lovely except for the food. It’s not authentic and flavourless. The pulled beef was very dry and chipotle aioli just isn’t Mexican and is on just about every dish. We ordered cocktails and they seemed to be watered down with very little alcohol present. Such a-shame because the venue is colourful and the staff were great.
