Lovely little family run cafe with delicious food. Got to meet their little boy running out in a onesie while waiting for breakfast Their friendly and very well behaved dog came out for pats, and very briefly tried the big brown eyed puppy eyes trick for some of my breakfast - it was unsuccessful, the French toast was so good I wasn't giving it up for anyone!

Best toastie ever - Caeser-ish was awesome. Didn’t mind the short wait for our food as this was explained to us when ordering. Beautiful location and atmosphere.

We were looking for a real good latte coffee and ended up finding an awesome one. Delicious and a real vibe of a Cafe.

What a great find for us this morning! The coffee was excellent, just the right temperature for drinking, the two treats we had were delicious and not too sweet and the staff were just lovely - very friendly and helpful! Appalling service. Was here today with my dog outside sitting and waiting. Not even 10am yet and it was quiet with 3 tables and people have ordered. 2 staff at the front, guy and girl, young. Waited for 30 minutes within their view outside and no one came with water or menu. As i was alone i had to walk inside with my dog as he can't be left alone with dogss passing by outside. As i took the menu to look i was told by the guy to not have my dog inside. Well.what am i supposed to do if no one comes to me and i can't leave him alone?

Yummm. Great toasties and great coffee. Nice location to watch the chill Hahndorf traffic. Worth checking out.

Very friendly, attentive staff and a a bright and inviting atmosphere. Only had time to grab some drinks and takeaway sweet things with the kids (all of which were great). People near us ordered food from the menu which looked amazing - will have to come back for breakfast or brunch soon!

The cafe society in Hahndorf is as old as some of the early settlers buildings scattered along the main street. Enter Matthew and Amber's Cafe 'Roots and Reasons. ' This eclectic cafe has it all. The ambiance, interior designs, good coffee, tasty foods, great personal customer service and reliable wi-fi connection. It is simply Carol's and my go-to-place to relax and chill. And you wonder why we drive up from the city every Monday morning. Highly recommended!

This is a fab coffee place and also does excellent food. Dog friendly, very inclusive atmosphere and great attentive, friendly staff. Good selection of things to eat (including sweets.) Absolutely worth a stop.
