Roll In Saigon reviews
42 I was shocked at the bread. It's not your traditional roll. Speaking with the owner she has been experimenting with her own receipe. Well done! She's managed to create a crunchy but chewy masterpiece. The typical roll in my opinion is just the vehicle for the filling.which is fine. This virtually stands on it's own as a showcase.
It's a weird thing to say but I go there mostly because of the roll.
There is no butter for the roast pork roll which leaves it a bit dry and a bit disappointing but overall I still really enjoy it.
The Viet Coffee is not good. Too much condensed milk and not enough coffee (liquid). The cup was stacked with ice but in reality there was not much to drink.
The spring rolls were a little weird but I still liked them. Crispy but slighly hollow with mushy ingredients. $1 for sweet and sour dipping sauce is very much appreciated. I hate being price gouged for cheap condiments.
Entering the shop and seeing baked goods was an immediate red flag for me.
But after visiting for the second time I thought I'd try their chocolate donut. I was again shocked. This is up there with the best chocolate donuts I've ever tried. Tanunda Bakery/Port Elliot/Nth Adelaide/X Convenience (yes.its good)
I almost feel like they could just become a bakery and be sucessful without the Banh Mi. I'm interested to try all of their deserts and baked goods now.
Unhygienic. Went because the reviews on cold rolls. There was only one pack available, pre made and not stored in fridge. The staff were touching money and food with our hand washing or gloves. All of the glass display cases were grimy. The meat was just sitting on a bench out the back. And the sign out front was bakehouse so it made it hard to find.
Love this place. Been coming regularly for over 5 years now, never a bad meal. Everything's nice and fresh - best roast pork you'll find in Adelaide! Nada runs a great store.
Previously Rolls of Saigon were always great for grabbing a quick and easy lunch. Seems the business is going through a transition period at the moment, which is left a bit of a disappointing experience. Bahn mi today looks a bit sad. The rolls still have a great texture but seem smaller in width than previously.
My favourite lunch place in the area. Delicious, fresh food, and the roast pork is especially to die for!
Not irredeemable but not even in the conversation when it comes to best banh mi in Adelaide. Weird that it's held in such high regard.
Worst banh mi I've ever had. Roast pork was so cold it tasted like it was straight out the fridge, there was no crackling at all and there was maybe 5mm of meat with an inch of fat on each piece. Roll was soft and had no crunch, whatever the mayonnaise was inside tasted awful and I was lucky enough to get one piece of cucumber and a leaf of coriander. Extremely disappointing and will not be going back.
The bahn mi I had was nice. Bread was a bit doughy but the flavours were all there and the pork was sooooo crispy! Everything was fresh and at a very affordable price.
Would recommend
Best Bahn Mi in Adelaide. Packed, stacked and maxxed full of flavour. Do yourself a favour and grab the roast pork, can't recommend it enough
Great lunch idea. Very prompt service and nearly no wait time. The veggies and meat are always fresh.
I really like their pho. Rich in flavour and lots of meets in it! Ban mi was also very good. I will visit again:)
Large meal sizes and so very tasty. Been a fan since day 1. The prices may seem like a little more than you can pay elsewhere but the size of the rolls and salads is definitely more substantial.
Very disappointing.sadly. For start website and listed prices were all 1-$2different.for me too much pickled stuff and no mint in cold rolls.to top pork turned up in 1 roll in veg pack and 2 rolls in the chicken pack!
Hope things get better if they want to survive
Beautiful Bahn Mi, I’m always excited when I find a new favourite Vietnamese food joint. The crispy pork is meaty and crunchy, not full of fat like many other places. Lots of juicy pickled carrot, radish (I think) and coriander.just the way I like it. Really fast service and indoor seating if you need it. Thank you!
Best bahn mi in the area by far. Gets busy during the Monday to Friday lunch period but they work very hard to get everyone served quickly.
I have been a loyal customer until last week when: I bought a noodle salad and the noodles were terribly dry. Also, the sauce was not enough. They placed it in a small container, unlike the bigger sauce container they used to put it in and it was not enough for the noodle salad I bought. Very disappointed. I will think twice going there again!
$7 for a tofu roll with barely anything in it, staff member who served me just wanted to rush me through the door even though I was the only one there. There are better bahn mi for cheaper.
Being Gluten intolerant, Cold Rolls and Noodle Bowls have become staple in my diet. The Cold Rolls from Roll in Saigon are absolutely amazing! Well priced at 3 for $7.50, well packed with ingredients, fresh as and dull of flavour. Great job guys
Hands down the best Bahn Bowl I've ever had, I've lost count of the amount of money I have spent here. Im not even angry about it
Great little Vietnamese food shop specializing in Banh Mi or 'Vietnamese Meat Rolls'. Delicious food and reasonable prices. Best for a quick lunchtime outing.
