Robe Chinese Restaurant Guichen Bay Motel reviews
65 The food was excellent! The service was quick and the staff polite.
I would definitely recommend a meal here.
Loved our dinner tonight. Very flavoursome garlic prawns and special fried rice. Kids loved the dumplings. We will return next time we are in Robe.
A great dining experience! We shared meat combo of beef, pork and chicken with stir-fried vegies in sate sauce along with chicken fried rice. Couldn't have asked for a friendlier waiter and more delicious meal.
Takeaway very busy (long weekend) told 1.5 hr wait but got a call ready earlier in 45 mins. Really nice food will def order again - highly recommend prawn fried rice & Mongolian Beef.
I came to South Australia from Sydney and stopped in Robe town today. This restaurant is right opposite the motel, so I wanted to have something to eat nearby. I ordered a plate of fried rice with seafood and a plate of fried seasonal vegetables, which were delicious. The local ghost guy who came in to order at the same time said that he had been eating here all the time and was very satisfied.
The Garlic King Prawns had the largest most delicious prawns I've ever had in this dish anywhere.
Quick and good Aussie Chinese food. Staff were really friendly, and good to have a chat as we were the only ones in the restaurant on a cold midweek night.
Very indulgent service, very comfortable restaurant atmosphere even the toilets are very clean. For such good food, I'm a little surprised that people give bad reviews on a restaurant as good as this.
I had salt & pepper chicken ribs (wings) @robe Chinese restaurant the other day, the flavour was absolutely stunning, I think the best plate of Chinese food I have every had, always love going to this place when in Robe
Went here with my wife whilst on a one visit to Robe, wasn’t impressed, ordered duck in plum sauce and got some sort of honey sauce, way too sweet, prices were a bit high too…. The server had a grumpy face on her like I just kicked her dog…. Wouldn’t recommend. $80+ for 2 dinners, no starter or dessert
Went here for lunch while staying at Robe for a few days. We were the only ones there at the time. Service was quick and the meals were hot. I had seafood combination with shared Malaysian Nadi Goring rice and he had Szechwan beef. Good variety of seafood and a generous serve of king prawns. Was tasty. His beef was spicy as expected and he enjoyed the chilli pieces in it. The rice was slightly disappointing in that it wasn’t spicy and had chicken and tofu mixed in it. Not what we were used to. Our drinks were nice and cold and the waitress was very pleasant. Prices were on the expensive side.
They are now dragon village! I nearly didn’t order because of these reviews. Had a great take away meal here! Recommend!:)
Average food, service was very slow. Price was a bit high.
Would loolk elsewhere next time.
Average food, good price. Would eat here again but only after look at other options first.
Great food and really helpful owners and staff, wish the new business all the best ahead of them
Very authentic. Had a similar experience to mainland China from the 80s.
Good ingredients and plenty of food per serve. Turned out to be a good choice despite no one else in the restaurant.
Never had such a terrible Chinese meal in my life.
Food was too salty and consequently inedible.
No service, we had to get our own wine glasses, poured our own drinks and then got charged $40.00 for corkage and the staff doing nothing!
Don’t waste your time and money going there.
The worst Chinese restaurant in my life, the meat smell bad, noodle are sooooo salty, rice are soooo hard, customer service is also terrible, told me I can only take 2 forks for 5 people.
Possibly the worst meal I’ve ever tried to eat. Certainly the worst Chinese food ever. I was hungry and I hate wasting food but I couldn’t do it.
The kids are making me say that the dim sum and spring rolls were nice but the ‘green chicken curry’ was truly awful.
Even if it was good it would have been expensive.
