Riverbend Caravan Park reviews
47Had a very memorable time at Riverbend C/P. The manageress made us feel most welcome, location is ideal right on the river bank. Wild life visit for snacks, rooms and park is clean and well maintained. Would definitely recommend and will visit again! Keep up the great work
A riverfront cabin was a perfect spot for us to recover from an exhausting driving holiday on our way back home.
What you see on the photos is exactly what you get: Lush green lawn at the riverfront, great views, large shared veranda to protect from falling gum leaves.
Relaxed and friendly place, lots of space.
Highly recommended for people who like to chat to the neighbours.
Lovely flexible service. Obviously most people's first choice is the big4 but realistically you have to book four years before you were born to secure a spot for Xmas when you are 30. This is a really lovely second option with beautiful views of the river. Very well priced.
We are camping here and are near the river we have added extra nights here. Toilets and showers are very clean campers kitchen is awesome. It's so peaceful we will come back again as the view we have is beautiful. Would absolutely recommend this caravan park they are also dog friendly and very big sites for caravans.
Great little gem of a caravan park. I enjoyed my budget cabin, perfect for a single person. Loved the free shampoo, conditioner, and soap.
Excellent we booked for 3days then stayed another 3 this park is on our list of parks to return to would recommend a visit here. We will be back
Awesome caravan park Friendly staff, Clean amenities, beautiful location We had a riverfront location, just perfect Would highly recommend
Beautiful location on the Murray River. Quiet grassed sites with plenty of room. Facilities were clean and in good condition. Dog friendly, I travelled with my 3 small dogs.
Good Caravan Park, right on the Murray River, clean amenities, easy drive into town, and 5 minutes from Paringa Silo art
What can I say? This place is 15/10! Me and partner had the pleasure of staying at this park for 3 nights along with our pup. We were lucky enough to score a riverfront camping site which was perfect, we also hired a fire pit and enjoyed our meals with a nice fire and did some riverbank fishing. The nature of the park is very friendly, everyone that you meet! The ammenities are always clean and seeing the wildlife was beautiful. We had the pleasure of meeting and stay next to the relief managers Tanya and Pete who were incredible! They went above and beyond for everyone that stayed at the park and it was so lovely chatting with them and the extra mile that they went to to say goodbye to all those who were packing up was fantastic. Truly a fantastic park which we couldn’t recommend enough, and will definitely be returning to soon!
I liked it here, PET Friendly also a big plus great veiws and right on the river.
There are grass sites my site was a bit shy of grass, probably due to the Kangaroos eating it. Want to see Kangaroos they have heaps and not afraid of you, about 4 metres close and thats close enough for wild Roo's.
Mossies weren't bad as the river the was flowing quite fast due to flooding in NSW.
Cross the bridge head south and turn right straight away there is a turning bay. The Park has Large bays and wide roads easy for large vans and Rv's and River frontage lots with grass.
Great to camp by the fire again, after going without at so many caravan parks in SA over the last couple of weeks. Toilets were a bit of a hike, but there were no keys or codes for them, which was a welcome change. The playground was nice and close and the kitchen & laundry facilities were open pretty late, which was very handy. And we enjoyed walking down the river.
Overall a positive but a mixed experience.
We stayed in a wood panelled cabin dating clearly from the 80s, if not earlier, nothing wrong with it but it looked very tired and dated.
The rest of the caravan park is quite mixed as well. There are a lot of bare ground areas which are very dusty. The facilities are OK but more basic and rough compared to the neighbouring Big 4 park. The kids facilities suffer especially in comparison.
Big 4 offers much more "refined" experience and Riverbend is closer to nature.
Overall enjoyed our stay but the place could use a bit if a refit.
This is a great location, good facilities, plenty of space for kids on bikes to enjoy themselves.
We stayed in the pet friendly cabin, yes it is old looking, but we were very grateful that our 2 dogs had a fenced yard after travelling from Perth. We had a great view of the Murray River.
Great location right on the river.
Very peaceful and tranquil except for the when the blower man is out making noise.
Nice walk or ride into town or short drive.
Can watch the bridge opening and closing from the caravan park as house boats go through. Very cool bridge was built in 1927.
Jumping pillow and great play ground available.
Facilities are great, showers nice and hot and excellent water pressure.
Camp kitchen has everything you need, kettle, microwave, sinks with cleaning facilities.
Kangaroos live and feed around the park, beautiful to wake up and see Kangaroos just outside your door.
Beautiful caravan park right on the Murray River large shady sites with a rural background kangaroos grazing amazing modern large kitchen camps fully operational very clean amentaties and very relaxed atmosphere with a communal fire area or have your own fire bucket and the managers Leanne and Colin are so friendly and helpful this would be one of the best caravan parks we have stayed at 10/10 from us
Loved the location of the park. Pet friendly with good facilities.
We booked a riverside powered site and it was literally 2 meters from river bank. The bank itself is well grassed and maintained.
We should have twigged when booking the dog friendly cabin which was described as "vintage". This was actually code for very old, tired and deeply unappealing. Wanting to travel with our little Jack Russell we are very appreciative of places like Riverbend which allow pets but frankly it is a bit insulting to then only have a very down at heel cabin available for those not in a van rather than being able to stay in one of the much better quailty cabins. Our unhappiness was exacerbated by the view from the cabin being a recently cut down tree and a building site for new cabins. We were booked for two nights but left after one. To the park's credit they called us a bit after we'd left and refunded the second night which was appreciated.
Ok. It's worth the extra to grab a spot right on the river bank. Facilities are ok too.
