River Walk - Onkaparinga Gorge reviews
9Awesome hiking track that gets rocky besides the river, but the great view is worth the challenge. Will be back soon to explore more of the park.
A must do for wine lovers.
A tasting in the vineyards with the winegrower who will help you discover and taste his white, rosé and red wine productions. 7 productions offered from different grape varieties
Amazing place, lots of Kangaroos and birds. The trails are well sign posted. The views are outstanding.
My favourite hike place due to various obstacles. In dry season, sometimes in early autumn, when the water level drops, one can follow the river down for quite a distance, starting from the bottom end of the treck from the camp site and walking slowly all the way to the place where the river is crossed by the concrete stretch of the dirt road, and you can turn up right and return following the treck on the high ground. All is about 10km.
Nice and easy walk down to the gorge, the track is well mark. There is plenty of water and the temperature is just right. The track is not recommend to do when it's too hot.
Wow! I can't believe I've never hiked here before. Beautiful, peaceful, and wonderful place to be. Will definitely be exploring more.
Very nice return walk. First part is mostly flat on the top of the Gorge, then easy descent down to the river side. The last part of the track by the river was a bit bushy but still enjoyable. Possibility to access the river for a swim. Way back to the car-park via the same track.
This River walk trail fades out leaving you bush bashing.
The gorge trail is a better choice though also poorly signed. Not an easy walk.
Like being in the bush but only minutes to civilisation. Great wildlife spotting. Take binoculars
