Rising Sun Hotel reviews
52 Handy location, 5 minutes walk from the caravan park. The food was good and the service was very friendly and efficient.
Recommended the Nachos.
We went for a birthday lunch and to treat myself i ordered Asian Salmon. One of the best meals I've ever had. Very tasty and well cooked. Followed it with pavlova. Well presented and tasted great. My friends all loved their meals. Will definitely go back.
If you are after an amazing meal, call into the Rising Sun Hotel in Port Wakefield. He had a steak while I had seafood Linguine. The steak was tender as and the seafood Linguine was divine.
One of the better pubs around travel from ardrossan to get a good feed and very happy friendly service
Great little spot for a bite to eat instead of the main road servo's. Great food and the beer was ice cold.
Come here for an awesome feed. The rissoles followed up with apple tart is divine. Kitchen opens at 6pm.
Typical country pub have to know where it is to find it. Family atmosphere lts bigger than it looks. Excellent steaks and salad bar. Go there again happily
We ordered take away fish and chips, it was lovely. Had a little wait but it was worth it.
Good food, good beer, friendly staff, service can be South Australian, you got it (slow)
But friendly
Fantastic food and service at this little gem, girls behind the bar were great.
I had the Korean pancake, washed down with a coopers pale ale on tap and a glass of SA reisling, superb
Set up well for families. Small play area and cricket set available. Nice food and very friendly staff.
Stopped in on the way back from Whyalla for a quick dinner and lamb shanks was on the board, and it was the last serve left so lucky me as it was delicious:)
Booked to be in the beer garden and my sister got a phone call 2 hours before our reservation to say they had double booked it and we were going to be put somewhere else upon arrival we were told we were in a cold, dingy old room out the back. It just got worse from there service was terrible, had to ask for our platters after an hour. Felt sorry for the staff who were run off their feet not enough staff for the amount of customers. The only thing that saved them for a ok review was the food which was very nice when we eventually got it. If u can't give people a decent experience don't book so many in. Very dissapointed in the whole experience.
Nice old pub. Clean and welcoming. Large beer garden area out back. Kids area. Pool tables. Excellent meals and service.
Great hotel good service lovely salads had a really good day I would go back there loved it very happy, it was a family lunch get together everyone enjoyed the day?
It is a central point for a group of my friends to meet. Friendly pub with a nice atmosphere. Good pub menu.
Amazing food and service was perfect with friendly staff. Supporting local businesses at the moment helps keep them open and this hotel is absolutely worth supporting.
We were passing through on a Wednesday and were hoping to grab some lunch. Unfortunately not open for meals. But loved the mural and the atmospheric little town.
After week and a half spent in Port Wakefield while waiting on car parts, I can say this place definitely made that time nicer!
Great meals with amazing salad bar, nice wine and friendly staff/owners. Thanks.)
