I've enjoyed Malaysian food in Malaysia and Melbourne for almost the same price. The rice and noodles here are not as good as in other places I have visited, from presentation to taste. Everything was average, just enough to fill the stomach on a chilly autumn afternoon.

I gave 1 star to its atmosphere only because it’s in a food court, so don’t expect anything.
Food is ok, normal size, reasonable price in a food court, could have more chicken though.
The cashier was nice and polite, so that’s all any resto needs do to to get 5 stars from me lmao

Quick and simple Malaysian food. Servings are skimpy for price but the flavours are always right. The service is a hit and miss, some days you may even see her crack a smile.

The chicken rice is good, the portion is not as big as other, but i cannot complain with a price at $12.80

My children love the chicken rice here. My kids have food allergies and can dine here safely. Fast service.

The best Hainanese chicken rice in Adelaide
I saw a lot of comments condemning the attitude of the staff. But please focus on the food, you pay $30-40 in a high class restaurant for a meal which is not special and can be duplicated everywhere even at your home. They made food with the skills you don't have. To be honest, I never tried others but only Hainanese chicken rice here. The price is definitely worth it and you will never find another in Adelaide for the same authentic taste.

I would rather spend 30-40 here for the chicken rice instead of going to a so-called "great restaurants" in CBD hotel for a meal which is mainly prepared by non-paid interns.

Malaysian stall in Churchill Centre food court. The pictures looked so good and inviting. For a reasonable price. But what was served was completely different from the pictures advertised. Misrepresentation much? The crispy pork wasn't even crispy, they were so small I can barely taste any skin on each piece. They were skimming even on their vegetables. Got served the stems, no leaves even. And what's worse is the attitude of the chef. He responded with 'that's what you get for $12.50'. Well if I knew I was going to get this instead of what you initially advertised, I'd happily spend my money elsewhere where'd I'd get something I actually ordered.

Good food, small serve but the owner is kind of a but hole. I don’t think he’s a bad bloke it’s just the way he is, badly lacks in social skills. The hours are also very short and odd.

Over $10 a meal and the serving is like a Kinder Surprise. Small and nothing in it. Down hill service and food.

Food is okay, although quantity bit small might need to order 2 portion for a proper meal.
But I genuinely feel the owner does not really want to promote their business.
I’ve try to visit at least 3 times.
2 of which 15mins from closing time, and they just refuse to serve any more.
1 time said only serve rice no noodle or soup.
Feels a bit arrogant.
If I’m not welcome here I would not come back.
But I guess owner does not care as they must have already earned enough money‍️

Great food but kitchen staff not really good in attitude.they don’t care how long you wait for your food.their priority is their relative! Even they serve them after you but their food still come first! I wait for half an hour for the same food with their relative!

Best Hainanese chicken rice in Adelaide, brings back memories of Singapore’s Tian Tian at Maxwell food centre.

Yummy as it can get. Ginger flavor rice is amazing. Recently their potion size got a little smaller mainly with the meat or chicken less than it was but can't complain much as it makes up for it with the rest. Nice and friendly staff too. Happy happy.

I have been wanting to try the dish here ever since finding out that the original owner of Ricky's moved and operated an entirely new establishment.
I would say, this place definitely lives up to the the hype & can easily be the best chicken rice I've tried in Adelaide.
Every single components of the dish are lovingly made, from the soft, succulent, flavourful chicken pieces doused in fragrant soy sauce with a hint of garlic and sesame oil, which have been kindly provided an extra bowl of, just in case you need more to pair with the rice with just enough fluffiness in each grain and complement the protein really well.
The star of the dish, in my opinion, is the combo of chili sauce, with plenty of kick and tanginess that brighten the dish and the oh-so-fragrant and more-ish ginger sauce (which I am dieing to know the secret mix of).
Now the soup, oh the soup!
The soup that often seen as an afterthought in most Southern Chinese cooking is beautifully seasoned chicken broth with a hint of pepper and plenty of leek and fried onions, full of umami and very fragrant. My only slight is, I wish they served more of the chicken soup!
For a ten dollars meal, it will be very difficult to find other dish that can beat the quality of the dish. Can't wait to return and try their order dishes such as kolo mee and crispy roast pork.

Delicious and light Malaysian food at a very reasonable price for the amount you get. Also comes with a great variety of sauces. The green and red sauces are especially appetising.

Havnt even had the chance of eating here due to the service being almost non existent and when there is any it's given to you in the most unprofessional way.

Ricky has been creating great simple, clean and fresh noodle and rice dishes for many years. I'm always happy with the quality, however if I am in hurry for a quick lunch break at work I avoid, it has taken too long for the order to be completed a few times recently.

Everytime im at the Churchill Centre, i need to eat from here. My son loves to eat the noodles and pork set. The pork is cooked well with the right amount of crackling. Perfectly priced for 10$. Going to keep coming here for more. Thanks RMK.

Ok food for some Aussies. Having lived in Kuala Lumpur and surrounds for many years, I am spoilt with really good Malaysian street food, but.none the less, a pretty good resembalance of Malay foods.
