Richards Park reviews
15Situated in a lovely neighborhood. Its close proximity to shops adds to its convenience, making it easily accessible for visitors. The park itself is known for its friendly atmosphere, creating a welcoming environment for everyone. With BBQ facilities available, it becomes an ideal spot to host a birthday party or enjoy a picnic.
Great little park. Well maintained and looked after. Went there looking for a film location and all of us were impressed. Very nice spot.
Thanks to the layout and landscaping, including mature trees, this lovely park seems bigger than it is. There are several benches and at least one picnic table. Also an electric BBQ I think (only saw it from a distance, it was in use). We had no trouble finding a bench in the shade to eat our lunch. Plenty of room to run around, but close proximity to busy roads so care needs to be taken. We didn't find the traffic noise intrusive.
Hidden gem like a secret garden.
1 minute drive from Norwood Parade if you want to
buy some nice food and have a picnic.
Nice clean stainless steel toilets.
Nice shade cloth covered playground with swings, slide and climbing equipment.
Meandering Garden designed for kids to run around in.
Opened in the 1970's, lots of lawn and shady trees
Great well maintained Park with great facilities for everyone. The garden is very nice and reminded me of the Botanical Gardens except this Park has barbeques for the public to use. Dogs are allowed off leash during restricted hours (see photo and check the signs in the park).
This almost hidden gem sits behind some shops and homes is a beautiful parkland where you follow tree-lined pathways around lovely grassy areas and we'll maintained gardens teeming with colourful flowers. There's a small playground and plenty of space for a few private garden parties and to kick a footy.
Spent Christmas lunch here having never visited this park before. Plenty of shade, very neat and relaxing. Only downside was the toilets were blocked up, one was completely unusable and smell was vile anywhere near the toilet block. Sad that this hadn't been attended to on a day when many people were at the park enjoying Christmas.
Beautiful park that is quite tranquil and tucked away even though it has entrances on Magill Rd and Osmond Tce. Lots of lovely trees
Nice open green areas in a garden setting with several BBQs. Play equipment is a bit old and could do with updating.
Very pleasant, secluded place for families and acquaintances to meet. Unfortunately, all I saw was a barbecue place for families and acquaintances to meet.
Delightful, 'hidden' park off in Norwood. Perfect facilities to have a picnic, play with children, kick a ball, walk a dog or cook a bbq. There's water, toilets, shelter, play equipment and lots of green space and fresh air. Also close to cafes, shops and parking.
Park is beautiful, systematic and having verity of tree. Well maintained park. Entertaining park.
A beautiful park. Suitable for rest, play and barbecue. There used to be two pianos in the park, but now they are gone.
Great park with open areas, playgrounds, toilets, drinking fountains, barbecues, picnic tables and shaded areas. Something for everyone!
The layout is beautiful and pianos a great idea but the toilets had syringes in the bowl very off putting
