Red Ruby Chinese Takeaway

Been going here for years but the last few times we have been disappointed. The prices have taken a hike & the main meals are filled with 50% onions. Salt & Pepper Squid is still lovely.
Not sure we will return

Really love the beff and black bean but The veggies wasn't cooked need to cook vegetables more but absolutely love it fired rice was fantastic great meal loads of flavour best Chinese down south

The best Chinese down the whole of southern Adelaide! Delicious Hokkien noodles and by far the absolute best satay I’ve ever had in my life with a bit of spice! Chicken and corn soup also 10/10!

Absolutely tasteless not even sure what was in the combination seafood there was little shrimp but the rest could not tell you got a spicy Tom yum soup that I could have went to coles a brought a pack of trident hot and spicy noodles drain the noodles and there you go $2 vs $7.20 would not recommend to anyone

1st time ordering today and the food is amazing! Prices and size is fantastic. Mixed vegetables have lots of garlic loved it. Thank you

Had a terrible experience here last night.
I ordered the beef satay entree, spicy combination and fried rice.
I got it home to find the satays inedible.the meat was all grizzly and I couldn't chew through it
The spicy wasn't spicy at all and again the meat was so grizzly and the sauce was tasteless.
I took my meal back to explain to them the issue to try to help them know there was a problem.
The girl behind the counter was lovely but as she was talking to me the chef started going off at her in Chinese.
I said to him to speak in English so I knew what he was yelling about and he yelled at me that he would give me my refund but would never take my order again.which is fine with me as I will never go back anyway!
As a business owner myself I was trying to help them realise their product was very sub standard and would have thought they would appreciate feedback like I do in my business.
I cannot understand why businesses would prefer to lose customers rather than listen to them.
Oh well their loss and my money will go somewhere else.

Beef satay. 3 sticks each holding 3 pieces of gristly, chewy meat for 7.50
Chicken dish was mainly rice and a little sauce.

Beef? Satays were all gristle. Ended up giving to my dog which were probably some kind of dog anyway. $7.50 for gristle on 3 small skewers total rip off. Lemon chicken average. Hopefully I'll wake up in the morning. Wont bother trying them again. I should've gone to Specsavers.

OMG just ordered several dishes as well as entrees too for the 1st time. Absolutely beautiful food and great flavours. Will be back. Highly recommend

Yeh I accidentally ordered the combination seafood instead of the seafood curry combination it was pretty much salt in a bowl. Inedible. $19.70 even the fried rice was salt overload I ate the fried dim sims because I was hungry …. Never again, I rang and told them about it being inedible all u get is thanks for letting us know! Stay away ppl

$72 for overpriced container full of onions with a bit of meat. Food usto be really good and well priced, but not anymore. Its shame as this was my to go shop and everything has changed.

Red ruby is the only place we've gone for Chinese for a long time we usually love the food and service for the price but tonight we noticed a fair big price increase on each individual dish that is unfortunetly half full of onion. We paid $70 for 4 dishes, 3 of them were half a container of onion with some meat on top the other was honey chicken which was okay but soggy. Dissapointed and probably won't return after today: (

Amazing quality food, great portions. Arrived via delivery super hot and earlier than expected. I haven't had Chinese food this amazing in ages.

Well worth driving to this take away shop at Christies Beach. That is wherever I learnt to use the chopsticks from one of the staff. I was only 6 or 7 year old then. Now I'm over 50 years old and have good memories of that time. I went to the local Primary & High schools before my parents and I moved away so that I could attend another school at Urrbrae Agricultural High School.

All very watery and lacking flavour.
Prawn crackers were stale.
Dissapointed considering the $60 to feed the family.

Satay prawns are beautiful, only one issue. Far too much onion. I would order this again if i can omit the onion.

The food was gluggy and tasteless, had waaaay to much sauce on it. The $21 salt and pepper prawns we got were tiny.like really tiny and over cooked and there was only about 10 of them.worst Chinese meal ever.if I lived closer I would've taken it back

We ordered dinner from there tonight for the first time. The prices are very good for the size of the serves, everything was very tasty and the service was great. Will definitely be ordering from there again.

Yummy food highly recommended, the containers were full to top with food not liquid like some do. Satay were nice and spicy, Springs rolls yes or no depends on your taste buds. But 4 is a good score closer to a 5 than a 3.
