We loved the location and nature around us, remote from towns, full of kangaroos and some birds; bedrooms nice and clean, but overall it was the cottage in the wild so do not expect everything super clean and new (we met one mouse a day which was fun but not for my wife)

Amazing location for a peaceful getaway with family. The host is super accomodating and it has everything you need for a cozy stay. Loved the Kanagoos in the yard. Will definitely be back again soon.

Ratcliff Cottage is so beautiful! We (a family of 5) had an amazing time on Kangaroo Island and one of the highlights was the location of this cottage. The three boys loved that we were close to the water and playing under the two large trees. They also loved seeing all the kangaroos at dusk. It's the perfect place to enjoy some time out from reality and get back to nature.

Lovely place to stay. Sits on a picturesque lagoon with no neighbours in sight. Kangaroos graze in the garden at dawn and dusk. Beds are plentiful and comfortable. Interior is a little dated (particularly kitchen and bathroom) but it’s a cosmetic and not a functional problem. Lounge/dining is lovely. Nice deck with loungers to sit on and relax while taking in the peaceful vista. Nearest towns are around 30min drive away so make sure you have ample supplies (incl.petrol).

This cottage is amazing. Absolute seclusion, not a person in sight the whole week. Beautiful setting, very well appointed and a short 30 min drive max to shops. Highly recommend for romantic or relaxing getaway.

Had a beautiful holiday here. Lovely house - spacious, with everything you need. Quiet and private - except for bazillions of kangaroos watching you. Loved this place.

We recently enjoyed a relaxing family holiday at Ratcliff Cottage. The home is comfortable and well equipped. We appreciated the new appliances in the kitchen as we all love to cook! The split system air-conditioning instantly made the house toasty warm on cooler evenings. It was a pleasure to watch the sunrise over the lagoon and to eat outside on the terrace with Kangaroos grazing in the background. A lovely and peaceful oasis, surrounded with wildlife. We even saw dolphins! Highly recommended.

This is a wildlife paradise. Ratcliff Cottage on the Pelican Lagoon Aquatic Reserve was just what is needed after a busy year. So peaceful and quiet, get away form it all, without a neighbour in sight and just the wildlife to keep you company. It was right on the water, with views from every room. Tastefully appointed, and super comfortable beds. Plenty of kangaroos on the property, they area big part of morning and late afternoon entertainment. Really appreciated the thoughtfulness of the owners, the kitchen was beautifully equipped, with pantry staples. Loved the rustic feel with all the mod cons, and watching flocks of birds tracking across the lagoon.
