Ratalang (Basham Beach) Conservation Reserve reviews
16Great place to take a walk. There is a shelter, Toilet and plenty of seats to take in the views. There is a shallow bay where people were swimming. Easy walking path that all ages could do. The path will take you to the caravan park then cross the bridge and return back to carpark.
I imagine the time when the whale riders connected with the whales off the granite coastline. Very special place and very beautiful
Lovely spot! Plenty of interpretive signs with information about the native plants etc. Pretty beach and plenty of birds and wildlife.
Stunning area on our Peninsular, the beach and weather was just perfect.great for Whale Watching, beach fishing, beach Picnics etc etc. Great place for RNR and walking.
Loved the cow sculpture and the old buildings to explore. It's a neat and we'll maintained area

We love walking with our kids here. It is very relaxing and easy for the kids to do. Pram friendly track and you might even get lucky and see the seals and dolphins swimming close by.
Many walks along this beautiful coastline.seals, whales, dolphins playing in the ocean; bodies of tiny seahorses washed up on the shores.
Great for short walks through native vegetation. There are some interesting info boards close to the Park's entrance about indigenous culture and language, and you can learn some birds and plant names. I'd suggest to take the loop walk out to the bluff. It offers pretty views of red Rock cliffs and the Southern sea.
Great the cow with the bucket of spilt milk priceless.very nicely kept area with whale lookout and old buildings. Great picnic area.
Beautiful beach with gentle sloping sand (although quite a lot of seaweed when we went, April) and gentle waves even though you can hear the thunderous waves crashing from across the bay.
Very quiet and peaceful, only one other family on the beach while we were there and a few people walking their dogs.
We had a great day and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful day at the beach.
I was up pt elliot end, very good walk and views from recently upgraded lookout, the Middleton end of beach is a marine park, you might get lucky and spot whales in winter months, can get access from caravan park also
Beautiful walking beach if you want something a little less crowded, but still close to Port Elliot. Often good for swimming, but sometimes currents are strong. Popular fishing spot too.
Great beach for kids to go boogie boarding. Bit of an undertow but there is a sand bar just off the shore so it wasn't that deep. Kids loved it.
Nice and natural coastal path, suitable for all ages. Well maintained facilities including toilet, seats and parking.
Just beautiful, its quiet, great surf, great fishing, toilets and a great place to just chill out in the sun with a beer, there are also some neat ruins for photos etc.
