We had the worst hospitality experience here yesterday and this is hard because we live on a cruise ship traveling the world…
The staff started off super kind but the moment something wrong happened the staff were super unhelpful and outright rude.
There was a miscommunication with the vegan meal (which we said was okay but we’re happy to pay for the mishap even though the cream wasn’t listed in the ingredients)
We then failed to receive all the rice until 10 minutes after we got the curries. So by the time we got the rice the curries were cold. We then never received popadoms or 2 of the side dishes (which included chips and a side of rice) they then pulled the rice out of the microwave…
When we voiced we didn’t appreciate this and that we weren’t happy to pay for those sides as we didn’t receive them the staff were extremely rude and refused to give us any discount or anything let off. And they made us pay for the extra stuff we did not receive. They told us their names were Mardi and Sam, but these are probably fake names as they were so rude and the way they acted it would be embarrassing to give us their real names.
The woman that was “the manager” didn’t even want to talk to us, she hid in the kitchen and refused to talk to us until one of the males of our party requested to talk to her, she then didn’t listen and just put the bill in front of us and pressured us to pay. Which made us extremely uncomfortable and disgusted. We wish we could give a good review as we were so excited to eat here, but we absolutely will not be returning and would never tell anyone to come here. We have a lot of contact with over 3,000 guest on a single cruise and will not be recommending this restaurant to any of our customers after the awful experience we have had today.

Very lovely flavour Indian food and great service here. Cocktails are nice and fresh as well. Great ambience inside.

I wanted to share my delightful experience at RAj on Taj, where I had lunch recently. It was an incredible meal!

To add to the pleasant ambiance, we were served by Henna and Raman, who were incredibly attentive and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Their warm hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable.

I must say, I left Raj on Taj with a big smile on my face. If you're looking for a place with amazing food and wonderful service, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Lovely service, delicious quality food, quick service. Bit brighter, smaller and different atmosphere, not quite the same character as the king William one but otherwise great:)

Place is not too big. Service delivery is slow for the large family. Food is not that bad. As my personal preference is vegetarian, I liked egg plant masala. Customer service was fair to good. Will I go there again? Yes.

We keep coming back for the vegan options such as saag alu, alu baigan eggplant and the mushroom pakora. The waiter is so polite and the decor is fresh. Love that it's not too busy but would also like to see this venue get more business

Food was delicious! 2nd time here. We ordered buttered chicken, lamb madras, fish masala and matter paneer - all taste great. One of the best naan as well. Service can be more quicker though. But overall its a good experience

Incredible flavourful dishes that melt in your mouth, will highly recommend the chicken masala, butter chicken, mango lassi and of course the garlic nan’s!

Very authentic flavours. Ordered butter chicken (the cardamom was coming through nicely), beef vindaloo, garlic naan, saffron rice, aromatic pilaf with roasted nuts and sultanas - all lovely and the Cucumber salad was the perfect addition to cool the pallete! All very reasonably priced.
Service was very professional and friendly as well as the ambiance - very stylish restaurant (even the menu design was very stylish) - perfect for an affordable date night!
Justified prices! Give it a go! You won't be disappointed!

Phenomenal food, the lamb shanks were buttery and delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant. Good atmosphere and very attentive wait staff. Will be back very soon!

Flat out lied to me on the phone when they said my order was being picked up. Don't order from here. Was 2 hours late.

Four of us visited for lunch. We waited for around 30 minutes for our order to be taken. The food took quite a long time to arrive. We won't be visiting again.

We came for lunch and got chicken masala and lamb Rogan Josh. They were some of the best curries we've eaten.
The servings are generous and the staff are lovely.

Went to this place for dinner and got the Beef Rendang and a Plain Nan Bread. The food tasted great and there was a good amount of meat in the Rendang. The place is clean and bright

Good quality Indian food and good attentive service in-store. A meal for two with a drink and a shared starter cost just short of $60. Have been twice now and will be back.

Raj on Taj has now become a new favourite of ours. The food was INCREDIBLE. The staff so accomodating and kind. We received fantastic service. Our meals were brought out in a timely manner and we even got to feast on some complimentary papadams?
Definitely recommend. Tidy, groovy interior and clean kitchen as you can see your meal being prepared before you.
