PunThai Restaurant

I went there to order my food waiter didn't ask me if I wanted my coke to be open or not she just open it without me having my food yet, so thought it's ok. I ordered Bangkok Chicken Wings (Entré). Then for my main meal I ordered Prawn Stir-Fry with Vegetables. What I get is Stir-Fry Vegetables with just few Prawn and the Manager said to me when I call their attention "That is our serving even before". You shouldn't say Prawn Stir-Fry if hardly any prawns there. I was expecting better since it took so long before my order arrived. Only to get lousy food.

It is the worst Thai restaurant in the life of a Thai person like me. Because the owner and employees are not Thai, the taste of the food is completely distorted.

Love this place! Best Pad Thai in South Australia! Great family business always enjoy our dinners here!

First visit and absolutely loved every bit of it.
To be honest, entrees were average, but the mains were show stoppers!
Choo Chee Barramundi, Yellow Curry Chicken, Massaman Lamb Curry fingerlicking!
Their PunThai Fried Rice and Hokkien Noodle were delicious too!
Kids enjoyed the basic fried rice and hokkien noodles as well.

Overall! Great visit and definitely worth going back.

I went today with my boyfriend and we ordered fish cakes, yellow curry and fried rice. Everything was delicious and it has good service. Recommended!

4th time I've been here and its been amazing as always. The 2 female waitresses on shift last night (15th April) was really friendly and helpful, they gave some good recommendations so a big thankyou to them. The food also turned up pretty quickly which was great.:)

The food is well prepared and well presented with quite an authentic Thai taste.
The last time I came here, it wasn't crowded so I didn't have to wait too long (unless ordering sticky rice). The stir-fry has a rather salty taste than other Thai restaurants.
The staff is quite friendly but it would be better if they serve customers in a more welcoming manner.
The restaurant is quite small but clean and cosy. It's located right in Prospect so it's easy to go and enjoy a dinner with friends.

Our booking was for 6pm on a Saturday night and the restaurant was fairly empty. Not 2 minutes after being seated the waitress bluntly informed us that we needed to be gone before 7.25pm as the table was needed for another booking. Nothing wrong with that, however her delivery needs work. Service was quick, we had a main (pad thai with prawns and drunken noodles with beef) and glass of wine each. Food was delicious and a reasonable sized serving.

Good price and good quantity served. But, the soup was a little small. Not very busy when I visited so food was served fast. Would visit again!

I LOVE Tom Yam soup but unfortunately, Pun Thai Restaurant's Tom Yam soup doesnt hit the spot. It was more tomato based than sour spicy like a good Tom Yam should.

The Pad See Ew (fried flat rice noodles) and Larp Gai were yummy. Good portion and flavour.

Another comment is on the seating area or the position. The restaurant is small and we were wedged between the glass wall and another table. Even the waiter was having trouble passing us the food or taking our order. Defo need to do abit of arranging.

Flavour was spectacular. The service even better, warm and so friendly. A true hidden gem. Cosy and beautifully styled too.

The best Thai restaurant in Adelaide! We enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was great! We love the food very much, me and my husband will definitely come back and try other dishes. Highly recommend to Thai food lovers:)

Great food. The staff were great especially the young guy giving out some good recommendations for the entrees. You should get the Choo Chee chicken if you’re coming here!

They have amazing food and the owners are lovely people, always making time to catch up with their regular customers.

The restaurant is located in Prospect, close to other shops and restaurants in the area. The staff were so friendly and professional and helpful. The food was so nice, authentic and delicious. Pad Thai was so good and the prawns were cooked to perfection. The barramundi fish was just amazing, fresh and tasty with a lovely sweet and sour sauce on top. The duck was so balanced, tender and tasty. Really liked the dishes.
Just couple of suggestions: the coconut rice was a bit different to the ones i had in Thai restaurants. Seems that it has been mixed with coconut milk after cooking i stead of being cooked in the milk which makes a huge difference.
The decor, wall painting and etc need to be taken care of since there are stains, dents and etc which do not look good for a restaurant.
The rice did not taste like jasmine rice (no aroma and different flavours)
The online booking system needs to be more organised and updated since we booked online and got the confirmation but it was not on the restaurant's list.
All and all, love to try other dishes in this cosy, lovely place.

We Love your food! We order a lot on Uber so we can get delivery, would really love to see Coconut rice on the Uber menu as well as so many more dishes on your take-away menu for a bit of variety….
