12A gem of an old building opposite East Parklands. Friendly atmosphere. Great to just gave a coffee break.
Great venue, delicious food and top service.
Vastly improved under the management of Gus.
An extremely welcoming and warm members club. Dining room has tasty and reasonably priced meals. Large range of excellent South Australian wines with discounts for members. Would recommend membership for young and old alike.
Was on a walk tonight and spotted a dog on the path. A medium sized dog and I was worried he'd run on the road. It seemed scared of me untill I started calling them a good dog. It walked along to the back entrance. I knocked on the door and was told oh yeah there our dog they just wonder around.
I tried to close the gate behind me but couldn't
Your black dog wondering at night in the pitch black, stands a large chance of getting run over. Also even the most well trained dogs bite if they are scared. If I wasn't so friendly to them and tried to get them off the road they may have bit me out of fear.
It was not wearing ID it is against the law for a dong not to have ID and to wonder around
Please take better care of your dog
Nice old school bar with fireplaces and boutique beers with very good food on the East Terrace Adelaide Parklands, parking easy. Several function rooms. Friendly service made a nice change!
Loved it. Super food. And the periodic dinner plus theatre production is absolutely brilliant (usually held 4times a year.one starting later this month) Well worth a visit, with or without the theatre performance.
Food was nice but $32 for finger food was a bit rich. And the hell does every damned thing have to be sprinkled with onion. I am allergic!
Lovely old mansion in a fantastic location. Across from parkland, free parking on side street, opposite gate 2 for Clipsal, 20 min walk to Rundle street and the Adelaide Fringe. The Havelock hotel is the local on Hutt street, 5 min away. Hutt strenuous also includes other Cafe and an iga, Caltex.
A great club and a lovely place to grab quality food. The Tuesday night club menu is exceptional
The meals are not very nice. Fish and steak overcooked. Accompanying vegetables etc are sparse. Meals are outrageously expensive given quality. Poorly staffed. Would not go back there by choice.
Friendly good service, generally very nice food (except on one occasion when it was just ok), very interesting selection of local craft beers and lesser known wines at very reasonable prices, easy to get a table, pleasant interior with pretty parkland views.
Friends invited us along on a voucher.
When we arrived our host was told he could not use 2 vouchers as they were in the same name. (If he had known he would have bought the voucher for four people or bought one in his wifes name.) They would allow both vouchers if the tables were not together.
This was embarrassing for them and us. We then politely offered to pay for ourselves. This was all discussed at our table in front of other dining guests.
Our host then did some negotiating out of the dining area. The outcome I do not know but found this situation awkward to say the least.
We had offered to bring some wine and was quoted $10 corkage over the phone I thought this very reasonable. On arrival was told it was $15 corkage.well okay.
The meal was very nice. From the share platters to the poached chicken and finally I had the Bragg's mess sensational.
To wait service was very good and the ambiance lovely.
PS. The coffee machine had been turned off too early and coffee was no longer available. ~9.30pm
I would go back so let us assume this was an anomaly.
