Priority Paediatrics

The process was smooth, easy and clear, and quick.from initial assessment, paediatrician, speech pathologist and follow up to collect the ASD report and 'discuss where to from here? ' incredibly it took just over a month (we had been on waitlists with other providers for over a year).

We were booked in at Priority Paediatrics and followed up promptly by
Dr Gamage (Paediatrician), Jenna (Speech Pathologist) and staff, who were understanding, very kind and helpful.

We now know the outcome and what we can do to help and better understand our child.

Our experience at Priority Paediatrics was phenomenal. We felt listened to, supported and we were given options after many dead ends. We were seen promptly and nothing seemed too hard.

I couldn’t speak more highly of Dr. Lalith Gamage and the team at Priority Paediatrics. I was able to get an appointment promptly, I felt like my concerns were validated and he went above and beyond to investigate the issues. I found Dr. Gamage very caring and gentle when assessing my baby, and he ensured all of my questions were answered- he also followed up after the appointment! As a Mum of a premature baby, having one point of contact who knows the background and who I can continue to see on an ongoing basis is very important and I won’t hesitate to bring her back. I can’t thank him enough!

Both Dr Gamage and Dr Jenna Ward-Hawkes are amazing professionals they show a level of care and compassion for both patients and parents which Is very rare. Jenna’s patient and caring approach to the grueling process of spectrum assessment was nothing short of spectacular. She made the process achievable and took the time to explain each step of the process and the reason for each step which really helped my analytical daughter understand. Most importantly both explained the diagnosis with compassion and a deep understanding of both of our needs. Jenna made my daughter feel like she could do anything and that she was special rather than different. Her phrasing and explanation of some fairly confronting news framed it in such a way that we both felt uplifted and positive about the future. This is far from what we expected and what we had experienced with another assessment so we were over joyed. I cannot recommend both of these specialists more highly and feel blessed to have been fortunate enough to find ourselves at Priority Paediatrics.

Both of our children were recently referred to Dr Gamage for Paediatric assessments.

We found his staff very helpful and they went out of their way to help with scheduling appointments and getting back to us when they said they would.

We saw Dr Gamage and felt he was not only professional and relatable but he also made us feel very comfortable when discussing our concerns. He was able to diagnose in a thorough and timely manner which helped relieve our worries and his follow up was excellent.

After being referred for an emergency appointment for my daughter who was suffering with asthma and a chest infection, I couldn't recommend this practice more.

Dr Gamage has gone above and beyond in his care for my daughter Zara. He saw her at short notice when nobody else could and listened to my concerns as a mother for her declining health. He found a mass in her chest and from there he has gone out of his way to make sure every single part of her body is healthy, physically and mentally. He also involved the entire family throughout a very frightening ordeal with Zara, and still always makes sure we are coping. He is never too busy to respond to a question and is open to learning about new ways to treat and understand his patients. Thank you Lalith, you are amazing and we will always be grateful.
