The wine tasting was very delicious and we had a great time there. Kristy was lovely and explained us with lot’s of enthusiasm the story and each wine and the vineyard. You also get to taste their own olive oil which is also quite delicious.

Second time here in 5 weeks - love this place! Have been to 20-30 cellar doors in McLaren Vale and this is a standout. The wines are all exceptional and incredible value for money. The tasting experience itself is also delightful, with a beautiful cellar door. Cherry on the top are the friendly, welcoming and warm staff. Will keep going back.

An absolutely brilliant tasting today hosted by Kristy. Could not have asked for a better experience. Of course the wines were absolutely beautiful, thank you Kristy and Primo Estate.

Had an amazing experience here! This was the first winery we decided to visit in the McLaren Vale, couldn't have picked better. Did the Primo Estate tasting and throughly enjoyed the white & red selection, the Nero d'Avola was definitely a favourite. Kirsty took us through the tasting and was super knowledgable and friendly. We actually came back a second time and did the Joseph tasting after having such a great experience. Once again Kirsty went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. The space is beautiful and the olive oil and bread were also delicious. Thank you Kirsty for making us feel so welcome and providing two of the best tastings we've had so far! We'll be back to purchase more wine for sure. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

If you're deliberating whether you should stop here, then please just do it and think no further. The wines are all delicious and the service is wonderful. There are two choices for tasting, we had the primo which included a $10 tasting fee that was waivered when you purchase one or more bottles. You also get to try the tasty olive oil and fresh bread Thank you Kirsty for being so welcoming, hospitable and attentive, you made our experience wonderful. A standout compared to a few other local wineries we tried.

Must be my favourite wine tasting experience so far.and that's saying something because every where has been absolutely hospitable and gracious thus far, but Kearon was the best host!
The wines here are unbelievable to say the least. Loved ALL that was put in front of me!
I could easily buy a case of each of the wines on tasting today!

What a wonderful setup. And the staff were fantastic, with a shout out to Kearon who was magnificent, helpful and made the couple of hours we were there absolutely memorable. See you guys soon:)

Primo Estate was one of six wineries we visited on our trip to SA - and it was by far our favourite. Every wine we tasted was produced to perfection, the environment was calm and Lorena was absolutely divine, she was attentive, had a good chat, and knew her stuff when it came to wine. We will absolutely be coming back when back in SA!

Came for the wine but ended up buying the olive oil which is fantastic.

Amazing venue with the friendliest staff, a great winery off the beaten track.

Spent couple of hours there to taste the range of amazing wines. Phenomenal experience.
Joseph the Fronti is not a wine, it's simply a piece of Italian art.
Bought two bottles straight away and took with us to Melbourne.
Well F'in done guys!

P. S.a quick naming suggestion for the bread and olive oil combo: "to the paradise and back" honestly, am not even kidding

First time I went, I was blown away with how great of an experience this was. After being back a few times to do the $20 tasting, it's still by far my favourite winery to visit. What stands out the most is the level of care and effort that is put into the tastings, with really wonderful explanations about the different types of wine and how they are made. The winery itself has a stunning modern look and the wine and olive oil are fantastic.

We went for a tasting here and it was the highlight of our wine tour. It was a fantastic, uncomplicated, and friendly experience with the favourite wines of our trip through Mclaren vale. The breads and oils were just the icing on the cake.
HIghly recommend.

Both couples had been here for tasting previously and looking forward again to the tasting and looking to stock up on lots of wines and olive oil. We turned up for our tasting and were greeted enthusiastically, as we settled in to start tasting we were informed that a new person was going to be doing our tasting. We were ok with that except she was left alone to perform the tasting and you could see she was reading notes between tastings and had no real experience in doing tastings or letting us know the history, geography of the wines and vineyards. We had to ask for the olive oil tasting and it wasn't a great informative experience. The initial person only showed up for the sales. We only bought a portion of what we intended, and in our haste to get out of there we never really interrogated the bill as we should have and we were delivered a $90 bottle that we never even tasted. Sooo disappointed. The wines themselves were good, but with so many good wineries I am not sure that they will receive future business.

After posting the review Primo have contacted me and adjusted their process so this wont happen to other customers and reimbursed me for the wine that I hadn't tasted. Very appreciative of thier gesture and I have purchased some of their Prosecco as we have had it in the past and loved it!
