Port Willunga Beach reviews
66Short drive from the CBD. Could get crowded at times but a decent place to chill with fam or mates.
This beautiful beach is not crowded - offers marvellous views and sands to set your chairs and soak in sunshine, walk / swim with your best friends, give it a go with beach volleyball. If you love adventure go for snorkelling try to find treasures from sunken ship iconic “Star of Greece” or keep your kids busy in the caves. Car park, toilet, BBQ and restaurant- everything is there all you need.
Such a beautiful beach to go and visit. This beach has lots of pebbles and rocks near the old jetty ruins. This beach is pristine with no sea weed and clear blue water. This beach is definitely worth the trip. This beach has toilets and a shower up top next to the car park at one of the ramps. I spent hours at this beach both a lone and with my kids and we have all had a ball. Such a beautiful beach to explore.
The caves in the cliff on the beach are wonderful to see. The old derelict wharf makes you think of all of the history that has gone before us.
Spent a day down here, took our kayak down and spent several hours out on the crystal clear waters. Saw several dolphin's who came and swam past the boat. Highly recommended for everyone. If the water doesn't invite you in then nothing will. Hard to find anything to complain about. 5 stars.
This is one of South Australia's hidden treasures, it's stunning coastline with the world's finest dining experience right on the beach front. The Star of Grease restaurant speaks for itself with SA's best local wines on offer as well as the divine 5 star meals. The beach is rich in history with the local ship wreck and the old jetty which is a favourite for photographers all over Australia. Book into one of the local B&B's and make this beautiful beach a treasured memory in your family album.
Picturesque! Stunning with a cool explore around.
Make a half day with swimming and lunch at Star of Greece cafe
A beautiful place. My friend commented on my photos and said I shot the cover of National Geographic magazine. LOL Love that!
The caves are a great spot to keep out of the sun on a hot day. Beautiful picturesque beach, great for paddle boarding.
Not trivial to find the route down to (hint: behind the surf life saving club) but a nice little free excursion while in the area.
Calm bay, clear water and clean sand. Cliffs provide some shade in the morning, can get hot in the afternoon.
One of the worst kept secrets, is how stunningly beautiful this beach is. With its old jetty pilons a favourite for photographers, good fishing and the Star of Greece shipwreck for snorkeling it's got everything covered. Reasonable surf break off Lions and Gulls on incoming high tide.
Such a beautiful spot along the coastline. It was very peaceful and quiet when we were there. Caves are great to sit in and watch the sea in complete silence.
Lovely beach, needs more of the history of the Port on show, but a nice stop. Lots of trash in the caves due to inconsiderate humans.
One of the best beach in SA, fine sands, great view, cliffs and caves! Would stay longer next time!
Went there recently. Undeniably one of the best beaches in South Australia. Clear turquoise water with nice sandy beach, also has caves to offer some shade.
Really good walk along the beach and cliff side. Safe cliff side, fenced and safe. Nice restaurant along the way. Not too crowded. Parking spaces around.
Beautiful and quiet place. It has shipwreck, Caves and lovely walking tracks along the beach. Has all the necessary amenities included toilet, Cafe and picnic area. It's One of my favorite places.
Great place to visit, beautiful coast line and beautiful beach, ship tax Star big Greece. Nearby winery. Absolutely beautiful.
One of South Australia's premier beaches, it's a perfect place to spend a summer day with friends and family. There are toilet facilities, an awesome cafe on the waterfront, sandstone cliffs and of course, beautiful clean, clear water to swim in. It's an easy place to park and walk down to, and there is an access point at the northern end if you have a pram or a wheelchair.
