Port Pirie Accommodation & Apartments reviews
33Sorry, but there were yellow stains on the sheets, the door lock was broken, there was nowhere to eat, no table or chairs, and no room service on the second day. Location was good, very close to 3 of my childhood homes.
I do realize that they must be doing it up. There was no shower hanger to put in your shampoo or soap in.
You had to leave everything on the wet floor and pick up
What you needed. It's a safety concern. Especially for the oldies.
I cancelled 9 days in advance as I had an immediate family member pass and you guys told me you’d be able to rebook the room as the basketball tournament was on but I couldn’t get a refund, I’d never recommend you with that type of customer service
Booked room three weeks in advance, payment requested on booking, at no point was advanced of cancellation policy’s, rang within ten minutes of making booking, to cancel booking as husband made other plans in different location unbeknownst to made, was refused refund charged $249! NOTE CANCEL POLICY FULL COST OF ROOM REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH NOTICE IS GIVE EVEN IF ONLY HAD BOOKING FOR TEN MINUTES. Jess friendly on phone, but lacked notifying policy. Blake condescending and rude, and likes to call people love, owners Lou advanced has been docked around by people hence the cancellation policy and we need to make money because of the government taxes and inflation someone needs to pay it!
It was a brilliant warm night, sat outside for a while as there was table and chairs for 2 people. Then had a really good sleep. Yeah I woke up good.
It's the cheapest hotel in pirie for a reason if you don't want a good sleep then stay here the beds are like cement the staff and cleaners are the loudest people out and the traffic is insane with people speeding through the intersection day and night. The shower is temperamental kept going cold the toilet doesn't flush properly and no answer from the staff when tried to ring no staff to greet you or check you out no proper instructions on checking out other than leave the key.can hear other people's microwaves from 2 rooms over and no proper disability access
The price does reflect the accommodation. The room was clean. The rooms are small, however the separate kitchenette was welcome. Did not use the shower but it was spacious. The cutlery was 3 place settings in those paper setting bags but adequate. The air conditioner was a real issue and although I messaged the provided number, I received no reply. The air conditioner is also very noisy, if and when it works, as are those nearby as they cut in and out. The advert says the office is open until 6.30, when I rang I was told it would close at 5. I received a text with full details of how to access the building and our room - which I did appreciate. We arrived well before 5, no-one at reception. No chairs in the rooms (probably because there is barely room for them) did "borrow" a couple from the main lounge for the night - which I returned in the am. No spare linen - pillows, blankets etc. Not sure there would be enough car parks for a full house either.
No hand basin in the bathroom - the sink in the kitchenette services this purpose and to do the dishes, clean your teeth etc. Did not see any spare toilet rolls - we had enough but was getting close. You can definitely hear other guests, but would not say it bothered us - just giving the information. Reasonable distance to carry you luggage. We did feel safe, the TV did work, as did the fridge and microwave. Would I stay again - only if my budget was tight. If your budget is tight and you are willing to put up with a few inconveniences then you would be happy here.
The Family Deluxe room our family stayed in was nice, clean and lots of room. The whole place was beautiful.
Will deffently be back! Best place we have stayed at in along time.
Room is clean and tidy. However they are lacking in some facilities. Okay for a one or two night sleep.
Do not be fooled by the photos. This place is a former nursing home that has been turned into a “motel” although it looks and feels like nothing has really changed except maybe they’ve taken out the seats and arm rails in the shower. The traffic is noisy, the remote to the reverse cycle air/heater was broken so couldn’t use the heater and it was freezing, so much so that the flimsy doona didn’t help to warm me up and I slept in my pants, top and heavy jumper in early May. The bed in my friends room was broken and on such a strong slant he had to sleep next to the wall so as not to roll out.
If I was the owner I’d be embarrassed to put this Accomodation into the world.
Stayed at this place for 6 nights with 4 colleagues in 5 different rooms. Couldn't understand how this place can get any more than 1 star. BBQ area is not maintained and the lobby is unstaffed. Microwave is not working, aircon is not maintained and hair in the bed.
Lady was so cool to me I had 2 broken hands and thank God u know how to make beds. I can show u hot to do towels better next time actually can I have job cleaning he'll yeah
Couldn't get a room on a Tuesday night with loads of rooms available online. They didn't seem interested in helping.
The listed mobile number is wrong.
1 extra star because I had room to turn my rig around in their car park.
Fantastic, quiet, clean, secure, easy to book, great communication.
Would prefer a 11am departure as an option, if requested, not everyone is going to work.
Remodelled building from a nursing home into accommodation apartments.
Spacious, has eveything you would need, cutlery, microwave, toaster & kettle provided.
Bathroom has been done up great!
Fresh paint & everything is functioning well.
Cons: Mattress too soft.
Road noise as cheap aluminium windows!
Front Door being slammed from non-respectful customers.
Good reasonably priced accommodation in Port Pirie. Very clean and tidy not too far from town centre.
Given one of the units. Not particularly clean and the odour from the fridge, someone left a fish smell that stunk the entire unit. Advertised price was not what we paid. Very misleading
I needed a place to lay my head for the night before going to Alligator gorge. Rooms looked good online so I just went for it. Pleasantly suprised as I arrived late around 9 p.m. There wasn't anyone to greet me, but I was kept well informed by the staff with a text message how to get inside and retrieve the key for my room.
The room was very clean, was very good. I would have zero issues staying here again. Place to cook downstairs and basically a full kitchen. Price was very good also. I paid $94. Don't let the outside fool you.
Enjoyed staying here. Nice, clean comfortable modern room. (deluxe queen). Large bathroom, only minor issue was nowhere to keep toiletries.
Comfortable beds. Kitchenette had everything we needed. I had a request for some extra items and they were happily provided. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Perfect place to make as a base for exploration of the Southern Flinders. Well priced. Some rooms face Senate St and it is a busy road so if you not used to traffic noise see if they have a suitable room at rear of property or away from street. Also laundry facilities available and as a bonus we were able to watch Netflix on our "Chill" day! Will happily stay here again!
The rooms are quite nice, air cons work perfectly. Loved the showers. They even got a shared spacious kitchen for cooking. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Did an amazing job cleaning everything up. Only thing is that the staff is sometimes unreachable, my roommate had the key and I called reception hoping for a spare to get in Turns out no one was available to help and was told I would have to wait an hour to get a spare key. Apart for the tiny hiccup I could definitely see myself staying there when I go back to Port Pirie
