Point Turton Caravan Park reviews
59What a cracker of a location, council owned, friendly staff. Right on the beach front. Variety of site sizes, powered unpowered and cabins. Pub 3 minute walk what else do you need. You can also see string rays at the jetty 1 min walk almost every day with resident local Barbara (nice pun) showing up multiple times a day. Excellent family holiday location. Bookings essential.
Camp, caravan, cabin or pod you won't be disappointed. A great place for a quick get away or long stay. There is so much to see at Yorkes or just enjoy the surroundings without going anywhere.
Yoy may even get all 4 seasons in just a few days.
Highly recommend 5 stars from our family.
We parked up here for 8 nights and had the absolute best time! The location is stunning with dolphins keen to follow your boat right at the boat ramp. The amenities are immaculate, after staying at many parks, these are hotel grade clean. The camp kitchen was a lifesaver when we ran out of gas, massive clean kitchen, toaster/microwave/fridge all clean & good to use. The sites, beautifully maintained. The laundry room was great. Washing machine & dryer to use with just a few gold coins.
We also found the people there to be so kind, not only the staff/owners (who were too kind) but the people staying, we made so many friends during our stay who gave us plenty of advice, places to see even some yummy recipes! Can’t rave more about this place, my partner, Pup & I can’t wait to come back!
Amazing spot! The place is sparkling clean, toilets, kitchen, everything was in perfect conditions. Just in front of the sea and the stingrays, awesome
Lovely location & extremely clean park however we had a group next to us that partied, and smoked, until 1am on our first night all while they had their music pumping. At 7am the music started again and we just knew it was going to be an awful weekend for us. Management did try to tell them to stop but it fell on deaf ears. We had already paid for the full 3 nights unfortunately. I let management know we were leaving after only 1 night but they never replied to the two messages we sent and no refund has been offered. Very disappointed.
Great place to stay walking distance from jetty. Park is very clean and quite.veiws of bay are great will be back
It's okay. Too many restrictions about washing your vehicle/boat/dog on your grassed plot you rent. But people seem to do it anyway. Says it's dog friendly but no dog walking area - just a lot of rules about not allowing your dog here/there etc. Very busy park with high turnover. A lot of grumpy old people! As for the fishing - well there's not much there. Over fished. After exploring more of the York Peninsula, I'd say there's nicer places. 2-3 days is more than enough to spend here. There's a fishing charter guy that is promoted by the park. We found him to be quite rude, and his customer service was sadly lacking so we didn't end up going on his boat. Didn't miss much apparently. Would I go back? Nope. Would any of the others who travelled with us? I doubt it.
Lovely park. Amenities could do with an update however are clean and well kept. We will be back
Such a lovely place! We just had a 3 night stay in one of the luxpods with our 11m old baby. It had everything you would need for a little get away, it was clean and had nice modern features. The owners were so friendly and accomodating, just good people. We will definitely be coming back!
This is one of our favourite caravan parks! The location is THE BEST! Dani & Malcom are wonderful. The park is in immaculate condition. The camp kitchen, laundry and bathrooms are fantastic and always clean. Make sure you book well in advance (a few months a least - more if it’s a public holiday or holidays) as they book out quickly!
What a great place to stay. We stayed in a cabin which I can honestly say that of all the cabins in parks we have ever stayed in this was the best. Very roomy, clean, well equipped and the views, oh the views. I would highly recommend this park to anyone. Thankyou
My husband and I could not fault our experience at the caravan park which is staffed by friendly and helpful Malcolm who was a great ambassador. Only improvement to the deluxe cabin would be a shower curtain to prevent water getting on the floor. Will definitely return.
A fabulous small park right on the beach with a jetty for fishing. The host are amazing and we have just had 8 nights there for Silver Schoolies Week. Lovely grassed sites with plenty of room.
We booked a 2 bedroom deluxe cabin for 3 guests. Phoned ahead to ensure that the couple and their friend would be arriving late. To be asked if we wanted linen for the 3rd bed (WT?) YES we did. 3 in a bed is not our game. (We are all over 70 and just want a quiet night) they waived a surcharge for the 3rd bed's linen (?) but told us the bed wouldn't be made up.
Not happy to be laying on my belly at 8pm trying to put a fitted sheet onto a double bed fitted against a wall.
The facilities were good. The views stunning, the sour start did them no credit.
The caravan park is beautifully positioned.
Definitely was not a favourite for us. We stayed in a Deluxe sea view cabin, the only thing Deluxe about it was the view. It was small and lacked space for essentials like food storage, a shower you could put your arms up in, a toilet you can sit on without hitting the wall one side and the door the other. Screen door didn't lock at all. Tv reception horrible, they do provide internet so you can watch Netflix (if it decides to work). Huge table takes up half the porch. The Deluxe cabin is meant to be able to have 6 people staying there.my wife and I struggled the place is that small, honestly I think I seen caravans bigger then the deluxe.
This all may be fine for some people but definitely not for us.
Giving 2 stars purely for the view.
This caravan park is run by friendly managers and exceptional cleaning standards. The lawns had recently been re laid and seeded in preparation for the summer months. The park’s proximity to the jetty and beaches is a great attraction. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend
Overall this Caravan Park is amazing, although I haven’t ever been to one before I still was taken back by the amount of amenities here and the relaxed vibes about it, we stayed in a cabin after looking a the luxepods and seeing that they were unavailable, but am in awe of the view we had at both day and night. The jetty was a major feature, both of them, which made many memories including fishing and swimming.
Would totally recommend this place and hope to come back next year.
I love this place its like a second home.great owners and a well run establishment. This was a 5 star place. As of the last few times we have stayed. Myself and others have had some issues. And issues with certain people and there dogs. So down to a 3.5 now
Had a great 8 night stay in the lux pod cabins. Nice location.epic sunsets and sunrises. Great fishing location on the Jetty and reel screamer charter. Many great beaches and things to do in the surrounding area the tavern also has great counter meals.
Great location, friendly staff and great value for money. Definitely would recommend to all types of travellers.
