Pirie medical centre has lovely ladies at the counter who are understanding of any situation you tell them about. They are fast and efficient while being mindful of each patient. The DRS are wonderful and caring of each and every patient they see.

A year ago this was the best medical centre it still has potential to be, but the correspondence and and way they now treat majority of patients is not fair. All good drs with hearts have gone.
Dr kijani is the worst Dr I've ever seen in 25 years, he has helped in the past and I thought he cared about his patien. Well he didn't let me speak and threw papers at me, I have panic attacks and he made me so much worse.
I just wanted to see another Dr.
The following day, I don't had a psychiatrist appt on the 17th (at the medical centre), where I was placed on new medication, And was told he would fax new info into Dr at Pirie medical.
As I was leaving
Pirie medical then told me, I can not see any drs from their surgery and if emergency go to hospital.
I can't even fathom how they treat humans this way.
My psychiatrist has nowhere to send said review

I cannot even find out why they have done this I don't know where to go or what to do

Brilliant staff - friendly receptionists, especially Britney.
Kristie gum is a star and so are the other nurses and doctors.

My initial experience with this clinic was terrible! The reception staff were rude and Dr Hasan didn't care, at all. I went in with severe depression and left with no help or support. When I left, I honestly thought I wouldn't be alive the next day. I had failed to get help, even after begging for it. I pushed through it all and decided a month later to try again with another doctor. The second experience was the polar opposite (because I explained to Haley (the receptionist) how bad I was) I arrived and had my mental health assessment done immediately by Kristen (I think, sorry) She genuinely cared! I then had my appointment with Dr Akbar and was happy to finally have a GP who cared and also listened! He realised I was in need of serious help and took action accordingly. They most likely don't realise but that care and kindness saved my life. I've still had a few occasions where the reception staff are rude but I ignore them knowing that at least Dr Akbar cares. I suggest others do the same. The staff being rude says more about them, then it does about us. We're doing the right thing, seeking medical advice and care. Don't let the rude staff stop you seeking help. Edit: The staff have definitely become a lot nicer, since I've become a regular. There's no excuse for being rude but at least, they're being nice now.

Very caring Drs and staff. Yes sometimes there is a wait but usually there is a good reason. The Drs regularly go without a lunch break to to try and catch up. So no complaints from us.

I’ve been coming to this clinic for years. Thorough GPs, always making their patients’ needs a priority.

I have an AQUIRED BRAIN INJURY and needed to see a gp for medication and instead myself and my carer were rudely discriminated against. They made me cry and didnt help me AT ALL after waiting 2hrs: (Just because a patient doesnt have a good history from moving lots doesnt give a doctor the right to completely deprive a human being from health care! P. S its ILLEGAL to try to tell a CARER for a disabled person to basically SHUT UP whilst theyre trying to explain the disabled persons circumstances etc. Carers are ALSO protected under the disability act you bunch of intolerent crooks!

Dr Sandra Saeed, a female doctor was not only visibly uncomfortable but made me uncomfortable during my first before 18 Pap smear. She didn’t explain procedures, didn’t listen the description of the symptoms, didn’t check over other problems I described, at which I got anxious and started to sob she became unsteady asking me “why are you crying? I haven’t even begun the procedure and you’re crying? ” she instead after me repeatedly saying the problem didn’t hurt she insisted I be prescribed painkillers. FOR WHAT PAIN? At the end of my appointment she sent me to get on ultrasound in my pelvic area which I then learnt is not a procedure prescribed to persons under 18 years. Safe to say I won’t be getting a Pap smear
Although she seemed nice and caring but I would not recommend her to anyone new and anxious about the procedure as she was of no help as she did not clarify anything and left me feeling worse off then when I got there.
