Pirate Cat Cafe reviews
28We had heated stale muffins with coffee served (at an indoor table) in takeaway paper cups using long life milk - we won’t go back. Great location and good service.
Hoping to enjoy a nice breakfast in this great location but it was very disappointing. They didn't offer tea in pots or even cups for that matter, everything was served in takeaway coffee cups, plastic cups, and bamboo plates. Unsure why, as the staff member who served me, did not want to engage in conversation. Unfortunately my poached 'egg' and smashed avo, was not worth the money. I don't mind spending $25 for breakfast, but mine was served on a bamboo plate, the avocado wasn't fresh and I only had a chai teabag in a paper cup of hot water. The location is great, the chef was friendly and delivered our breakfast which was appreciated, but I won't be back.
Rude horrible owners staff.
They all seem to be on the glass pipe to be honest! Don’t go here
Friendly, coffee in takeaway cups only. The driest muffins this side of the black stump. Left mist in the plate.
A lovely spot on the Esplanade for a coffee and a light bite. Nice owners/service. If you have a dog, this will be a welcoming venue.
Our favourite local spot! We visit the crew almost daily to grab a coffee, and we couldn’t recommend a place more. Delicious food, an inviting space and friendly staff… what else could you ask for? Massive shout out to Paul for his banter and chats.
Very calm and quiet on monday afternoons, quick service and friendly workers, the chef delivered our food which was a nice surprise.food was amazing, my friend miranda had a veggie burger, it was very juicy and wet and very flavourful with each layer.i had the turkey and cranberry focaccia, the flavour profiles were to die for.coffee good, iced chai “yeah nice, sweet”, was served quickly.atmospheric, right at the beach, love the paintings of pirate cat and too many good seating choices.
The cafe’s name is very misleading.even when searching up specifically on a map service for a cat cafe, this comes up.
Great little Cafe at Seacliff next to the pub. Delicious BLT rolls. Bring your dog they are welcome too.
We found the name to be misleading. We thought it was a cat cafe, that is, one with cats to play with. The people were really friendly but unfortunately the food we ordered (popcorn chicken and chips) was inedible. Worst chips I've ever been served. Had to leave them uneaten. I had eaten at this location a few years ago when it was called Cafe Olive. Great location but the food then was terrible, I couldn't even eat it. I thought with the name change it was under new management but feel strongly that these may be the same people. Food certainly just as bad.
One of the best vegan burgers and vegan muffins I've had, the service is good too. Wish they were open a bit later on the weekends though.
This place a marked as 'pet friendly' but this definitely does not include dogs. I walked in and within 5 seconds, one of the dogs barked and I heard multiple staff out the back yell at the top of their lungs "shut up". I took that as a message to take my dogs and eat elsewhere.
Nice iced lattes, one of the only places open on New Year’s Day so busy but still very quick with service. Friendly staff.
Great place to have lunch or grab a bite to eat and get a good coffee and with the beach just across the road it's a perfect location to enjoy the scenery
Totally worth the visit. Stunning location, down to earth friendly staff, beachside styling, no cats lol, good food and coffee
Had eggs your way on toast, ham and cheese omelette
Will come back and try some more
One of thoses places where you can’t tell if any staff or owner have any experience.
Food was overcooked, grinders coffee and IGA milk so definitely a lack of love in the products. (my large Flat white was $7).
Good location though.
Coffee tasted funny. The other coffee tasted fine, so not sure what happened. I don't mind paying extra for decent quality but they use no name milk, which made me question what kind of beans they use. Some could say you pay for the location but you're facing a building rather than the ocean?
Great location on esplanade. Frequently quite short-staffed, but staff are very pleasant. Good for a quick bite or for lunch (but there may be a long wait) The menu is a bit more imaginative and interesting than most.
Went to Pirate Cat Café, with family, for the first time. Recommended by a friend. The place has an amazing atmosphere with beautiful sea views. The meal and drinks perfect, and also the staff. Highly recommend this café
Awesome breaky. Great coffee. Not sure about the unwashable bamboo plates. Seems counter productive. But just great service and food.
