Pindarie reviews
69My wife and I visited for lunch on our way to Tanunda - not our first experience of this wonderful winery with stunning views, great wine (Rose), and the best lamb pie/salad with shiraz sauce.
Friendly prompt service at all stages of meal
Obliging when we asked to swap tables because of coolish wind
Delicious food value for money
Great pie and salad lunches. Can choose between lamb or chicken pies. You can dine out on the verandah or at tables under a big shady tree and enjoy superb views.
Great celar door with tasty reds and a good casual lunch with homemade pies. It might be my new favourite Barossa winery
Went here as part of a day trip around the wineries. This had to be my favourite winery and outstanding wines. Stupidly I didn’t buy any but I’ll remedy that
Enjoyed a wonderful meal and glass of wine in the lovely ambience that’s been created here. Would recommend to all, simply perfect!
I’ve lost count of the number of times we’ve been to Pindari. We keep going back time and time again. Love the relaxed venue, love the spectacular views, love the toasty warm fire, love the yummy food and we love the beautiful reds! Staff are always friendly and happy. Oh and Patches the Jack Russell is just adorable! Highly recommend
Delicious food - we had the share board of delicious cheese, meats and local produce. Lots of history- make sure you have a look at the old photos. Nice staff. We will be back.
Great atmosphere, great food, and wonderful service. A simple formula worked to perfection and we enjoyed the Pindarie Rose’.
Amazing place for lunch, we had a large group outside looking over the amazing view, staff were lovely and the pies were 10/10 we look forward to coming back again when in the Barossa.
We have been to Pindarie a few times now and have loved every visit. From the wine tasting experience, lovely staff, yummy pies and desserts, delicious wines, and the warmth of the open fire how could we go wrong! As a group of friends we love spending a Saturday enjoying our beautiful wineries, but this winery unlike many others is still very reasonably priced which helps make for a fabulous day out. Thanks Pindarie:)
The service was very good, the food was excelent as well as the wine. Plus the outlook beautiful
Love this place. It’s why we like going back. It never disappoints. Lovely setting, lovely food, lovely wine.
The food was fantastic as always, however the service did nowhere near meet the standard. Staff attitude was poor and being asked to pay for tastings of 4 wines after spending $100 on lunch and wishing to purchase 3 bottles for $100 is greedy. You want a minimum of $140 spend in the cellar door to redeem tasting fees (more than any other cellar door in the Valley). Also, your staff need to tell people that you charge for tastings.
Sadly, this will be our last lunch here.
Hope the $30 tasting fee was worth it!
A great venue for lunch. The large pies were brilliant and the setting in the country just beautiful.
Lovely Barossa Valley location overlooking a splendid valley, with a rustic Restaurant and Cellar Door area. A welcoming open fire immediately greets Customers, with excellent wall mounted photography and an unique Menu in the restaurant area. All in all a lovely Dining winery experience.
My family and I had the pleasure of coming to Pindarie for lunch yesterday, the pies where amazing. Extremely friendly staff, thank you Tony and your team for a great day. It concluded with a walk up Schoff’s Hill, awesome view.
We came to Pindarie as a stop on our organised wine tour of the Barossa, and I have to say it was the clear highlight of the day! The delicious wine served at the tasting was only the beginning. Listening to Wendy talk about the history of the winery, and her own experiences in the industry really elevated the day- even short-staffed (as she was that morning) she took the time to make everyone in our large group feel welcome.
We also had lunch on the verandah overlooking the valley- it really was a picture of bucolic splendour, the cliched outlook that everyone loves and arrives for, watching sheep graze amongst the vines. Certainly stop in if you're in the area, and we're going to be ordering from here once we drink the few bottles we brought back!
What a fantastic experience my family had celebrating my Father's 83rd birthday. Pindarie is always a place that we visit to feel welcomed by the friendly staff (thanks Rachel and Stuart!), eat incredible tasty homemade pies, drink very special wine and be surrounded by the beauty of the Western Ridge scenery. We absolutely loved the warmth of the fire place and were lucky enough to have a chat with Tony the owner who always takes time to grab a seat and have a laugh with us. The precise care and detail given to the restoration of the stone cellar door and tasting room is like walking back in time. This passionate family and their dedicated team have embraced the true Barossa experience. Everyone deserves to visit Pindarie for the special views, the warm hospitality and the incredible wine. Highly recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed!
