Original Victor Fish Shop

Foods good the potato fritters are house made and are quite good, portion sizes are getting small though. But none the less is the better fish and chip shop in victor harbor.

Fish was very fresh and lightly battered. We ordered small chips, and it was actually quite a big portion, more than enough for 3 of us.
Wrapped and served in paper, so cute.
This shop is a very wonderful surprise for us because we really enjoyed the meal. Really happy we ate here.

Not happy at all with our Barramundi and chips order today. Staff was clearly overwhelmed by the amount of customers, long wait time, very undercooked, borderline raw chips, lacking seasoning, fish not battered well. Disappointing. Sadly we ordered takeaway and only noticed when not in town anymore, otherwise we would have handed this order right back.

They didn't give lemon with the $20 worth of fish we paid for. Burger with the lot was $15 and did not include beetroot or pinaple, I ordered no tomatoes and they couldn't get that right. Everything was very expensive and poor quality and the shop was not even busy.

Go somewhere else if you want good fish and chips.

Had a perfectly cooked piece of butterfish. The batter was light and crispy. Will be back here again.

Young girl with pink eyelashes has a terrible attitude. On a day trip down to victor we thought we’d pop in just to grab some chips and were told “Just so you know we shut in 5 minutes sooo… Yeah. ” Made us feel very unwelcome
unfortunately.

Disappointed. Order was wrong, ordered a medley and a butterfish pack. Was trying to order but staff walked off several times during the order so not surprised it was wrong. Got the Medley but only a butterfish no pack. Got the crumbed option but was just like eating a box of fried bread crumbs. Oh well U live and learn.

We went there because my friend recommended. The fish was okay but chips were so so because they used different brands when we visited.

Absolute rip off. $33 for 2 pieces of fish, Less than a handful of chips and a token salad. Fish pack is $17.50 so the measly portion of chips it contained were supposedly worth $9. Never should you spend $33 at a fish shop and still be starving afterwards. What a joke.

Great food. Calamari was fantastic, not stringy and chewy like some places. Highly recommend if you're in the area and keen for some quality fish and chips.

All the bad reviews seem to be old and the business has under new management signage up so don't be put off by the rating. It's really good fish and chips.

Great customer service, yummy food and chips are good. I am not a big fish eater but ordered the barramundi for dinner - was delicious so much so went back again the next day for lunch. There is another chip shop in town near by but they close so early this store opens later than others in town. Agree with others prices need a review on some items but in saying cost of doing business at moment wholesale prices are high and so are wages and running a business is not cheap.
