Oleaceae / The Mustard Seed Mount Barker

Took my fiancé to this place for dinner a couple of weeks ago. Food was brilliant with a great menu selection. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The kitchen was busy and took longer than usual to deliver our meals but the staff complimented us with another entree. Great to know they do takeaway as well. We’ll definitely be back.

Great atmosphere, luv the fire and old brickwork, service is good and the choice of Indian or Mediterranean is great. Food was delicious.

Used to love this resturant, was our first choice on date night.
As of recently the menu is extremely limited for tapas but if you like Indian cuisine there's plenty to choose from.
I'm not sure who chose to combine the two but I'm not sure that it works, it's taken the charm out of the place for people who like to experience Mediterranean/tapas fine dining.

For the kindness they showed my elderly Mum on Saturday when they were due to close up in 15 minutes but they still served her a coffee and cake without any hassle. Mum said it was a good coffee by the way.

Had some lovely lunch here and great coffee. The staff were really nice. In such a lovely spot too.

Staff was super friendly. I ordered barramundi but the fish was very salty, Veggies and salad was really bitter, can’t eat it all.

Curry's are good for dinner - and I would eat there for dinner again! They really drop the ball at lunchtime though. There is no Indian food at all (despite the branding), wagyu burger tastes off (meat thin and overly strong, bread stale, far too much truffle mayo) and fish and chips from the freezer section. Underwhelming for the price. Venue is well presented and staff are friendly.

Drove pass-by and stopped for dinner. Nice cozy spot with an European atmosphere. Friendly staff and food arrived very fast. Loved everything we ordered! The texture and sweetness of cheesecake was perfect. Definitely will come back (high tea looks great).

Excellent service and tremendous food, busy too but this didn't affect anything at all, it was efficient, friendly and relaxed. We had the
Chicken Tagine, Lamb and Hummus, Dolmathakia, and fries, finished off with Creme Brulee and Lemon Meringue

Perfect place for our Anniversary dinner. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding! Definitely recommend.

Mouth watering, delicious, amazing attention to detail, loving, warm, cosy, and kids friendly. What more can you ask for, it's the complete package!

Breakfast today, can't wait to go back next week for lunch, and then dinner the following week and so on and so on.

Fabulous lunch here with YUMMY Haloumi burgers and gorgeous hot chocolate. With the open fire it is the perfect place for lunch or dinner this winter. Stunning

The Mojito had very little flavour - the mint, for example, was a few leaves dropped in with no attempt to 'bruise' or crush to release their oils. Will be returning to try again

My wife and I had breakfast here this morning and the staff were very friendly, the coffee was the best i have ever had and the breakfast was made with love. Definitely Will be bringing the family back for dinner

Absolutely amazing! From ambience to the staff & owners to the food.spot on! Food was fresh and delicious and staff so friendly and welcoming. Great big portions definitely worth the price. Must try the Toblerone cocktail. Genius. Thank you team Oleaceae for the experience.

Lovely staff served a fabulous Mojito, delicious prawn cocktail and barramundi that was cooked perfectly. All round a really lovely place to have dinner.

Absolutely Amazing!
Kind friendly staff and the best mediterranean food. We ordered a heap of tapas and shared a couple delicious desserts. We went for dinner and ended up going for breakfast too!

Absolute best dining experience I've had since I can remember. I was holding high hopes for Oleacea after looking at all the excellent vegetarian options on the menu, and while we deliberated over what we'd eat (rather than the usual menu skimming to find our one option), they brought out a complimentary fancy treat platter for our dog! She was stoked. Much to our delight, our food exceeded our high expectations as it was beyond delicious, fresh and had so many different tasty elements. It was ridiculously good! Staff were super friendly and attentive, and an added bonus is food is very fairly priced. Will certainly be back to eat our way through the menu:)

The food was absolutely perfect, the waiting staff were wonderful, very friendly. However the food took 90 minutes to arrive and the reason given was the computer system wasn't working, not sure how this explains the kitchen being so slow. Hopefully just teething problems.
