Old Noarlunga Hotel reviews
71Yowsa! Yowsa! Yowsa! If ever you want to feel like part of the village, come on down to the Oldy! Once you get to know the great team working in all the corners of this fun and friendly establishment, you will soon feel like part of the family and become a regular face in no time! Special thanks for including my lads as a part of the raffle nights Rhino! Cheers PJ
We are regulars. 11 of us had dinner there tonight.the food was nice.after our meal a few of us went in the pokies room.we where so discusted on some of the behaviour of a few people.one female was smoking a vape while playing a machine.her and her partner where yelling quite loud to each other.and swearing.we felt so uncomfortable so we left.very disappointing
Very nice meal there. Staff were awesome and will definitely be back soon. Had to walk through several bars to put on a Keno the only negative
Our first time at “The Oldy”. Excellent customer service, excellent food, nice atmosphere. We will come back.
Food to salty overcooked.
Back room stinks of cigarette smoke.
There's a weird pretence that all tables in the dining room are reserved, not so.
Great venue, lots of dining options. Staff are all really friendly and helpful. Nice pokie room too with lots of parking available
Good food, quick service, even at peak times. Can recommend calamari, lamb shanks, beef and bacon burgers. Have good GF options. Friendly staff even though often very busy.
Used to love this place but had a nothing but disappointing experience tonight. Waited over an hour for food before being told the order that my friend made was not able to be made and the order another friend made was brought out to the table completely wrong from what he ordered. One of the newest workers then came out to the table to get fired up and abuse us. Her name will be mentioned to the complaints team. Such a shame for what was once a nice family friendly pub of which I visited weekly with friends and family
Very dissatisfied with the service and the attitude of young waitress. All our meals had cold chips and when mention to her her reaction was unacceptable, however we did get replacement chips. Also my steak was tough and did not say anything too the waitress due to her whole attitude. Not happy at all
When we ordered a schnitzel “shoey” minus mushrooms, we were told that this was ok. Only to be told 1.5 hours AFTER ordering that they in fact can not remove mushrooms as they “are prepackaged with the cheese and ham”. This is revolting. We asked if they had fresh cheese and ham they could place on the schnitzel instead, we were told they couldn’t do it. We were a table of 9 and had tables enter eat and leave before we even ate. When we spoke to the staff member she become heightened and swore at us before telling us all to leave. When asked for a manager, we were denied. The staff member was asked to walk away by another team member to which she did not.
Ordered a Porterhouse steak with chips & Salad, came with mashed sweet potato & broccoli, was told that’s how it comes.
Not that difficult to modify
Great meal, good parking, friendly & helpful staff. Dining room was extremely hot, heater was on on a 30 degree day, had to ask waiter to put air-conditioning on.
An old world feel, with many beautiful Historic Buildings of the Main Street of Old Noarlunga, nestled along the Onkaparinga River. There are some great Black & White photos on the wall inside the Hotel. Food was very good. Helpful and friendly staff.but service can be slow on Public Holidays or when a special event is also being celebrated in the Bristo.
I've been going to Old Noarlunga Hotel for over 35yrs & after it was sold the service is still amazing & the menu extensive with incredible food. Keep up the wonderful experience! Would recommend to anyone.
Most staff was great but there was a blonde staff member whom needed to tone her dam voice down way too loud and obnoxious
Quite a nice pub it has a outdoor vineyard and has shnitty nights overall this place was very nice
Great pub hidden away from the masses, nice pub grub, fantastic beer garden and friendly staff
I entered this establishment to be greated with a busy and buzzing atmosphere, my wife and I were lucky to get a table for two. I briefly glanced over the basic menu and was instantly seduced by the roast pork with the tantalising promise of Yorkshire puddings. But that could wait, first we were going to tackle the haloumi and roast vegetable entree. This went down a treat, we cleaned the plate. And I mean cleaned it, they wouldn’t be needing to pop that in the dishwasher after we were done. I was heading into my main with a high expectation, and after a lengthy wait I was greeted with a plate that had a distinct lack of the Yorkshire puddings. When I mention this to the waitress she replied in a very nonchalant manner “oh the Yorkshire puddings are on the menu but we don’t actually do them, is this a meal changer for you? ” Absolutely devastated. I was compensated with a measly slice of garlic bread which done little to fill the Yorkshire sized void in my soul. Oh well, I cracked on with the meal, and it only got worse. The meat was bland and just downright sad, I had to smother it in pepper just to make it palatable. The veg consisted of peas, corn green beans and cauliflower which was arguably the worst part of the meal. There was no shame in the fact that it was microwaved veg. Microwaved veg in a roast? ! It’s a cardinal sin! The cauliflower must have had a water content close to 100! The gravy was the lumpiest liquid I have ever seen, but it did remind me of my upcoming island holiday to Vietnam which was a small silver lining to this otherwise depressing meal. The potatoes which were the only roast item in this supposed roast left much to be desired but were the best thing on the plate. I left this place feeling disappointed and slightly violated. Small win on the pokies did indeed get my money back so at least there’s that.
Great place, friendly atmosphere, good service. Had roast of the day and the beef just melted in your mouth,
Great meals, really friendly staff, and cold beers - what more do you want from a pub. Recommended.
