Old Bake House Tavern reviews
38Love popping in for after work cocktails on my way home. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and the food is delicious and incredibly priced!
Just had the best chicken schnitzels ever. Succulent chicken breasts made with their own breadcrumbs. Delicious and cost $12 for one schnitzel!
Amazing food and incredible value too. Portions are so generous with no lacking in quality of the food. Definitely recommended place to stop by for a drink or meal if you're around the area
This place has exquisite pub cuisine, a decent selection of beverages, and friendly service in a relaxing, comfortable environment. It is highly recommendable in being reasonable value and wholesome quality for a genuinely satisfying dining experience.
Affordable & delicious meals, lovely atmosphere and the people are wonderful.
Will be back regularly for sure!
My wife & I recently moved into Williamstown & the Bakehouse Tavern has quickly become our new favourite spot.
Owners are friendly, inviting & always happy to come and have a chat. The food is exquisite and well worth the price.
Whether you're a local or just passing through town, make some time to have a meal here. Also, save some room for dessert. The cheesecake & icecream is to die for!
Amazing cocktail and drink selection with by far the best food we've had out in a long time! Fresh, full of flavour and value for money. Amazing personalised service tailoring to our needs with a warm welcoming atmosphere. We will be back for sure!
Fabulous meal - barramundi with curry sauce - very enjoyable. Looking forward to the next night with great food.
Tonight I came in with family and never really write a review but I was blown away by excellent service and amazing dinner and dessert we all had. I had the lamb roast and couldn't fault it, the cherry ripe dessert was delicious and the fact we were sitting by a nice fire on a cold night was perfect, I really couldn't fault anything tonight and ill definitely be back soon.it's definitely worth the hour drive from Adelaide. If anyone is looking for a old school pub with pub classic meals done right you've found the place to be. Thank you bakehouse tavern?
What an absolute gem in the Barossa. The food, service and overall ambiance of the Bakehouse is 10/10. The staff/owners make this the success that it is.
A hidden gem. We have been through Williamstown a few times and we noticed the Bakehouse tavern had opened, so we decided to try it out as we often are looking for good and new places to try. We have been there twice now, once as a couple and the other, we took friends. What ever you choose from the menu it is fresh and delicious and they change the menu regularly. They have a reasonable selection of wine’s and the service is really good. The only thing they have forgotten both times is the water for the table, when asked, so we had to go to the bar requesting. Very minor issue, but otherwise food and drinks come efficiently. Do try otherwise if they do a foodie review of this place, you will not be able to get in, that’s how good the food is.
One of the most delicious vegetarian meals we have had in ages. We had the mushroom risotto, the vegetable spring rolls and the rocket salad. Definately worth checking out. And the chocolate brownie was the best i have ever had.
Re opened pub at Williamstown, SA. Been worth the wait as they have done a very nice refurbishment inside.
Food is fabulous, staff are very friendly and pleasant.
You can sit inside or outside, under the verandah.
Pricing of food and beverage is very reasonable. Easy parking either on site or street.
Could do with a couple more craft beer IPA's or APA heavies but that's my person faves.
Very close to the perfect country pub.
We will be back with friends.
Highly recommended.
Cheers, Q.
Do yourself a favour and try this place out next time you're driving through. It was recommended to us by a local in the Barossa and we dropped in on our way home for dinner yesterday. What we discovered was a nice country pub with friendly staff, a couple of local brews on tap and amazing food! The kids menu had a great selection and handmade pasta which was a hit with the kids. I had the steak and it was seriously good. One of the best I've had in a long time. I did want the duck but they'd sold out. I can only imagine how fantastic that would have been! Hubbie had the beef and guiness pie and was very impressed. We will definitely be back. Thank you for topping off a fantastic day out with the family.
This place is a must if you're in or around Williamstown. The food is amazing! Not like the typical pub grub, rather restaurant quality. We had Beef Schnitzel with mash and coleslaw and homemade fettuccine with beef shank and tomatoe pasta sauce. Large meals oozing beautiful flavours. Meat was melt in your mouth quality.
Cleo had a Chicken schnitzel which was cooked a cut above most pub schnittys and was superb with a rocket fennel and pumpkin salad. I had a Salmon pasta. Everything is made in house, including the Fettuccine and hand cut chips. Fantastic meal, open fire and very friendly staff. Highly recommended!
A wonderful find in Williamstown! Beautiful food, above average for what you would expect from a pub/tavern. Excellent service, we will definitely be back!
I decided to get a takeaway steak tonight and oh my the chips were divine! The steak melted in my mouth! And the mushroom sauce was absolutely delicious! Definitely was not a let down and was worth every cent!
Great menu and the food was really delicious. The serves were very generous. On weekdays they have 2 big meals for the price of one so it is great value. Loved the Beef Schitzel with Mushroom Sauce, one of the best I have had. The service was very good and very attentive. The tea and coffee were very good too.
What a great little hidden gem thought we would check out the local now we are living up in Williamstown great food great pricing and friendly service
