O'Halloran Medical Centre reviews
22 The doctors seem competent enough, well as competent as GPs seem to be nowadays, but the wait time and their communication is bloody poor.
Spent 30 mins waiting for a 5 minute appointment, after which I was billed $56 dollars for advice that might as well have come from WebMD.
My family and extended family have been patients of Dr Adam since his time in Seaford and moved here with him when he opened this practice. We are now split between him and Charlotte and cannot recommend this practice highly enough. You feel more like a friend than a patient.
Great doctors
One female doctor is very very good and worth the wait.
You have to pay a gap now unfortunately but it's my choice of surgery
Had an appointment with Dr Cephy on Monday 5/6 to get some bloodwork done for my dietetic treatment. I have a letter from my professional dietitian for the bloodwork. During the appointment, we also discussed my last blood results in March.
I’ve advised the doctor that my dietitian requested a copy of the results. She said it’s totally fine and just let the receptionist know about it. I told the receptionist about it after my appointment, they said that they’ll give me a ring once the results are back.
I called on next day to check if my blood tests’ results had already come back. The receptionist said that they’ve received the results. I asked if I could get a copy of the results, and the receptionist said that the doctor needs to discuss the results with me. I tried to explain that we did the bloodwork for my dietitian to go through with me. The receptionist then insisted to book an appointment and said that she cant give me the results after appointment. ITS RIDICULOUS! I ended up book a phone appointment for the results.
I had the appointment today at 1.45pm for 2 minutes for the doctor to tell me the exact same thing when I saw her on Monday.
I rang straight back to the receptionist requesting my bloodwork to be printed for collection as I have an appointment on Friday Early Morning with the dietitian. The receptionist said it’ll be ready for me to collect today.
This is where my frustration begin, I went to clinic after work around 6pm, the receptionist had no clue about it. She searched for it and couldn’t find it. She then came back to tell me that it hasn’t been printed, and can’t do anything about it.
The clinic make it so hard for you to get a copy of your own bloodwork’s results!
Very happy with Dr Eddy. Great doctor who listens to your concerns and provides a thorough consultation rather than just trying to get you out asap like some doctors I’ve dealt with in the past.
I like the doctors, who are constantly checking my condition and the receptionists are always courteous. But now they have done away with bulk billing, coming up with the full fee before you get the refund isn't easy when you aren't working. It's time to find somewhere that I can afford to go to.
Took me on as a new patient as well as being from Sydney. Could not have asked for better care. Feel some much better after one day when I was able to get my medications. Don’t know where I’d be without their assistance.
I’ve just relocated in the area and my son was seen by Dr Timothy Lo where we waited for 20 minutes, which is fine - he was with another patient. My three children and I were happy to wait in the waiting room.
I had an appointment this afternoon and was running 3-5 minutes late. I drove in the car park at 12: 48 for a 12: 45 appointment. I apologised profusely to the receptionist who said it was fine, I’d be seen soon. I sat down in the very quiet waiting room and shortly after the Dr came out and spoke to the receptionist and then walked OUT of the clinic. The receptionist then said I could not be seen. The doctor had a ‘strict late appointment policy’ and that it will impact other patients and their appointments. It was then 12: 52. I was quite upset and am sitting in the car writing this and have just seen the Dr return to the clinic with a bag of shopping from the shops across from the practice. I’m sorry, I understand that patients come first, and if it was because the practice is bustling and booked out, that is fine, I would wear my 3-5 minute lateness and reschedule. But when I’m told that my 5 minute late attendance is unacceptable due to a ‘policy’ but watch Dr Charlotte go shopping, it rings unprofessional, uncaring and insulting.
I’m a teacher and piled under a mountain of paperwork due to report time. As stated previously, I have three children and have spent hours waiting for medical professionals from time to time. This is fine, and I treat doctors time as valuable. I do expect some logic and care from out medical system. I didn’t get that from this practice.
I will go elsewhere for medical appointments.
**EDIT
I have just received a phone call from Carolyn (Who I believe is the practice manager) and she has apologised and passed on Dr Charlotte's apology to me, which I have very much appreciated. Carolyn emphasised that this is not usual behaviour for the Drs of this practice.
What’s the point of having a local gp when you can’t get an appointment. Have been put on the cancellation list two days in a row for my 9 month old daughter who is sick. Drs are mediocre at best anyway. I will be looking elsewhere to take my daughter from now own I would suggest the same if you want an appointment this year.
My experiences with Dr Charlotte Jones have always been positive. She provides an excellent level of patient care and follow-ups.
I'm visiting from the US and had to see a doctor for a certificate of recovery from Covid so I could fly home. I saw Dr. Shahnam and he was very friendly, professional and welcoming. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a GP. The practice staff were also great. Thank you!
It is ridiculous. 5 months waiting time for appointment. One hour delay for the appointment just to get a prescription in 5 minute consultation.
Friendly staff always with great doctors that listen and take time to understand what's happening.
Dr Adam is a fantastic specialist. Very helpful so far but his popularity makes more difficult book appointment with him. I wish him good health. So far there is not doctor with experience same like Dr. Adam in Adelaide South. Simply great specialist, but harder and harder see him before scheduled appointment. I did not have luck today after spending a night @ Flinders Emergency. I simply wanted a new prescription asap.and an advice. I thing the message i left by the desk has not reach him. I do not blame anybody there. Just bad luck.
Great doctor Dr. Jones
Helpful and friendly staff
You have to wait for a bit but that's fine
Have been coming here for just a few months now and I love how organised the clinic is. Staff are all friendly and attentive. The clinic is clean and I have not experienced any lengthy waiting times. I have been seen promptly each appointment. Dr Charlotte Jones is very professional and genuine.
Nice Drs but not enough of them and/or not working enough (only 1 in today). Can never get in within 72hrs of calling, which often isn't ideal. And people wonder why high street shops close; they are stagnant & often short staffed, which then means a lesser service & forces people online/elsewhere.
VERY MUCH recommend this doctors surgery to anyone. I’ve seen Dr Adam and Dr Capizzi, both were so thorough and went above and beyond to provide an exceptional and comprehensive level of care. Furthermore, the reception staff are so friendly, warm, welcoming and accommodating.
I could not fault them. I arrived there with my 4 year old vomiting in the car, I also had my 1 year old with me and asked if it was possible for her to be seen, we had never been there before and I decided to go there as my friend has nothing but good things to say about their service.
The receptionist Courtney squeezed my daughter in and she was such a star. She helped clean my daughter up who was covered from head to toe in vomit and got her blankets for her while we waited to be seen in a spear room.
We did not wait very long and the Dr was so lovely and listened to my concerns and treated her accordingly. Thank you so much for all your held today.
Highly recommend!
Excellent doctors and very much a welcoming family practice. If you’re not happy with your regular GP, definitely come here!
