Went here today for my grandson's 7th birthday party, it was a fantastic day and the kids had sooo much fun on the playground, they could have stayed all day. We'll definitely be going back!

Loved the place with my younger two, it's great to see the new planting that's happened in stages so if you go back years after you can see the growth of the plants. Only issue is not bins that I could see.

Great family spot.
The park is great for kids.and the walking trails are a beautiful spot to walk the dog.
Just mind the flies, and the parking can be difficult on weekends.

It doesn't matter to your fitness. There is something for everyone. Well done to those involved in design and work. (BTW Try a little harder training the animals to use the toilets lol)

This is about a newly built playground: Play play and play, My daughter loves playing here. Ample parking and various rides. There were more than 50 kids and all were busy. Few sitting arrangements for parents as well.

Will be an awesome family friendly national park once it's completed. Excited to see how it will look when done

Great place for mountain biking. Plenty of green and blue tracks with technical features. Be wary of slippery rocks in rainy days (esp Fifty Shades of Clay path), any tyre can slip easily.

Glenthorne National Park is really progressing and it's great to see it improving as the new walkways and features are being worked on. The temporary walk isn't fantastic but I'm giving 5 stars, now, in lieu of what I can see being built.

A good walk with really great views of the southern hills and coastland and a great opportunity to see a revegitation program in process. I'll be visiting to see how things progress.

Great bird life down near the creek & the lakes fed by a natural spring
Paths still need to be completed & new trees planted will need time to grow
Lovely 4 km walk without to much stress with great views

Not much to look at currently but give it time and I'm sure it's going to be a great national Park.

It is new and was agricultural research so much of the area is totally barren ex-paddocks. It has potential of course and a few OK spots but it needs much time and work

Walked the loop trail. Very disappointed, just a vehicle track, bypassing all the interesting parts. I know it's early days but could be better informed that most of park is not ready.

A great walk and you can even take you dog on a leash! This is going to be such an incredible park with all of the development taking place! So grateful for this being added to the area!)

Glenthorne has some potential but will need a few years for new plantings to become established.

The 5km loop is a nice moderate walk, with your dog on leash. Obviously this open space is brand new and a work in progress

Not much to look at right now, but lots of planning in the works to regenerate an old farm land into a National Park.

Our group had the pleasure of having a guided tour from David Spiers MP here. Highly recommend learning about the history of the area which includes the early farming practices from the European settlers in the 1830s, the use by the military for the first world war, CSIRO doing many years of testing, the acquisition by local uni and the handover to become a huge nature precinct for the southern suburbs. The vision is very exciting for our generation and beyond! Definitely recommend to get along and check it out in its infancy to compare what it may look like in the years to come!

We are very fortunate to have this land preserved instead of developing it into suburbs!

Love walking up at the O'Halloran Hill Recreation Park. The scenery is great. The peace also some alone time. The only thing is if it has rained for a day or two give it a miss paths can be a bit muddy. So many different ways to walk some uphill and some down hill. Some tracks are only for moutian bikes not for walkers. The only thing is some people are good keeping the dogs on leads but others aren't and have I been jumped on bailed up and also they should pick up the mess dogs do on the pathways.

Definetley the best place to be, for me right now. A great park for all types of riding and riding experience. I'm a recreational rider that began riding at the start of last year and have found it fairly friendly but it pays to have a suitable bike.
Beware of snakes in summer!
