The staff here are always happy to help you if you want to try something new and aren't sure how to cook it. Their smoked goods are smoked on site and are DELICIOUS! I regularly buy their boneless smoked chicken rolls. They also regularly have new products to try. On Friday nights they have freshly smoked turkey legs and chicken wings which make for an easy Friday night meal.

There were beautiful pieces of rump steak in the window and my husband asked for those, gesturing. The staff member got something from the back of the counter (not seeable) and gave it to him in a bag. My husband thought it was strange, but he had no reaction. When we got home the same day and opened the packet to cook, we saw that they were old pieces of meat, dark grey. We would never buy a pieces like that if we could see them. We had to cut some off and put it in the bin.

Bought two unwrapped Chickens. Cut them up for a Curry. Both had leftover stuffing from being badly removed. Why stuff a chicken and then take it out?

When i first came here, i was shocked by high quality. Now its pretty mediocre quality. But the price is good

Rude service by the owner, his staff incorrectly charged me less the first visit last week. I reordered the same quantity and it was $8 per kilo more expensive. I queried this today and he became very rude as if it was my fault. I walked away, I would rather pay the same price if I have to, with someone who is happy to serve the customer with respect. Dampener to my day.

Have a good range of quality meats, smoked & fresh. Have bought meat from here for a few years now.

O’Connell’s Meats are the best butcher in South Australia! Top quality, good prices, with a large variety. The team are very helpful and friendly, who all provide great customer service every time.

Sausages and steaks are always great, but bought turkey mince that I had to bin straight away when I got home and bone marrow smells too much of bleach. Very disappointed.

This is my favourite butcher in Adelaide. Their product is great and reasonably priced. The staff go above and beyond to help you in any way.

A few of those who work here are a 'blind as a bat' when serving. A few workers failed to see who was waiting. I am sure I had to wait more than 10 minutes before I could say "Excuse me, I've been waiting for a while now". And here is the RUDE response from a male that worked there today. "Well I am here now, What do you want? No apology.just rude. If people are looking for good customer service then go else where at the market as there are plenty of other options, and with a better service. One star for your meat.

After walking round the busy market for half an hour trying to find O’Connells, I finally found it! Not impressed, wish I went elsewhere. The chicken breasts are the smallest I have ever seen, lumps of blood still on them too! The “premium” mince doesn’t look premium as there’s lots of lumpy white fatty bits. First and last time at O’Connell’s.

About time I did this; Been coming here for 3 years. Professional and respectful service always. The quality of all their meats being pork, chicken, beef and lamb is great and so is their pricing. It's proportionate to what you're looking for and there is something for everyone (including university students).

Purchased pork loin roast and scotch fillet for Christmas celebration this weekend. The meat was incredible! Highly recommend.
