Ocean Street Bakehouse

Bought a pastie and was served by an older lady. Unfortunately I trusted her but should have checked my change immediately as she short changed me.
As someone who lives on the Fleurieu you don’t expect local businesses to rip you off.

Hands down my favourite bakery in Victor Harbor. They staff are so lovely and always have big smiles on their faces.
Their range of savoury delicacies and sweet desserts are wonderful!
A favourite for all the locals!

Great veggie cheese pastie - really delicious flaky pastry rather than your typical pastie pastry. I was being vague as I left, and I did get mobbed by seagulls and had my last bite stolen. Just like they warned me!
I miss that last bite.

A lot to choose from. I like the variety of cakes. The business had a lot of people coming and going while I waited for 5 minutes, so I think it's a place worth coming back to.

Friendly staff, great range of freshly baked goods. We loved the sponge with strawberry jam and fresh cream.

A fairly nice and decent local bakery cafe. Had the bee-sting which was actually quite filling on its own and very sweet. Definitely would recommend trying.

Be VERY aware here I was attacked by seagulls right by the front door just after leaving with a pastie in my hand. They grabbed food out of my hand and even while trying to eat. They attacked numerous times. This was an extraordinary nasty experience.

After checking out of our motel and before hitting the road for the trip home we popped in for breakfast. Had coffee and shared a bacon and egg roll. The roll was one of the tastiest I have eaten. Bread was lovely and light and the bacon and egg was perfectly cooked. The added cheese and sauce added to this delightful roll. Wish I wasn’t sharing. Highly recommend.

So glad we stopped in. Absolutely one of the best bakeries we have been to. Travelling Oz you get to experience a lot of bakeries. This is most definitely in our top 5. Congratulations to the team for creating quality food.

Such delicious range of hot, flaky pies. One of the best I’ve had in a while. Good range of vegetarian and vegan. Donuts are fabulous too.

Properly good bakery! The Jalapeno pie is amazing. And the salted caramel pocket (essentially a glazed donut filled with gooey caramel) was the best donut this particular donut loving fat man has ever eaten! I may have to move to Victor Harbour.

The pies are fantastic, great shortcrust pastry so they don't get soggy as you eat them and the whales, the whales! Just go for the whale donuts

Wide selection of pies, pasties and freshly made sandwiches. The service is quick and friendly so don’t worry if there is a queue.

It's okay. Waited ages to get our coffee. We're locals- the backbone of local businesses in the off season. We'll be getting coffee elsewhere in future.

First time visitors to Victor Harbor, we decided to check out the local bakery! I had a cheese and bacon pastie and my gosh it was amazing! The flavour in the pastie was just perfect! Just the right amount of bacon to get the saltiness, as well as a hint of cheese and lovely meat and vegetables! The pastry was delicious too, cooked and warmed to perfection!
And to choose between the delicious range of sweets was a challenge (I wanted to go back for seconds!).
The customer service was wonderful too but the food was on point!
Thank you to the bakers who I imagine get up very early to bake these delicious goods! Your hard work is greatly appreciated!

Great little coastal bakery, solid options for not only meat eaters but vegan/vegetarians also. Decently priced products with average customer service, will consider visiting again

I was astounded that this bakery was closed on the Queens B/day public holiday. Victor was packed with tourists. I was among several tourists who were disappointed to find it closed, as it generally does have nice products. Shoe shops were open. Sports shops were open. Guitar shops were open but evidently the bakery owners don’t need the influx of cash they would have got had they been open. Perhaps they should consider selling to some fresher, keener owners who care about tourism?
