Nu Thai Restaurant reviews
60 Beautiful food. The prawn Choo chee looked so good I forgot to take a photo of it before I hooked into it.
Couldn't fault the service.
Had a takeaway dinner while staying in Adelaide City. Food was best Thai we’ve eaten. Had Crisp Beef, Ginger Chicken and Pork Belly. Even better than those dishes was an entree of Thai Dumpling. Service was impeccable. Very welcoming. Highly recommended.
Beautiful Thai Restaurant, I would highly recommend this place if you’re wanting genuine beautiful Thai food. The atmosphere is so nice and cosy and the staff were very lovely. This is our first time in Adelaide and our first night out for dinner and it did not disappoint. 10/10 for food, atmosphere and service.
Yummy food and nice ambience. We have ordered vegetarian green curry thai and pad thai chicken and tom yum soup vegetarian. Must visit if you are in Adelaide.
Friendly customer service, airy space and quite eye-catching decoration. However, the food was a sad experience because my mango salad was made with bitter dressing and the fried food got a wet side from that dressing. I haven't had such a strange salad experience in other restaurants. The noodles and gold cups were pretty good, but it seemed they used old cooking oil for those 2 dishes.
3.5 stars
Nice Thai restaurant a little separate from the Chinatown area. Excellent friendly service from the staff who were always topping up your table water and checking if you needed anything. The food was delicious and good quality. Price was a little high but would consider this more up market than some of the places in the area. Great wine list and other alcohol as well. Well worthwhile checking out.
We waited for too long on Monday night. The curry chicken was way too watery and plain. Didn't deserve the waiting. The other two stuff I ordered were drunken noodles and Crying tiger. The dipping sauce of the tiger was good but nothing new out of them. Won't come again shortly. A disappointing experience. I didn't take photos cause my friend and I had enough waiting and green curry chicken didn't look nice. The excuse we got was always "the kitchen was very busy tonight". Bye!
Friendly, great service. They gave leftovers to a homeless man across the road. Highly recommend
Really good thai-food. But they have to improve the service attitude and the atmosphere of the restaurant.
The caramelised pork belly is really good. The food, service, atmosphere, BATHROOM, is really really good! I saw another review saying the bathroom needs to be renovated, and I’m glad to say that they did that! It’s nice and clean
Absolutely disgusted by this restaurant & it’s service. Placed a $100 takeaway order for delivery. It was never delivered and stolen by the driver. When I contacted the restaurant they explained that they had no details of the driver and could not do anything to help.
No refund. Would love to review the food, but I never got any! Just a $100 fee for terrible service and lack of customer care.
Delicious dishes with Good services and environment!
Don’t miss the PAN THAI! A “must order item”! I highly recommend it!
Really nice spot to catch up with friends and have a really good meal.
Only reason for not 5 starts is that the acoustic can be noisy and hence hard to hold a conversation without raising your voice.
We will be back
Food was nice though the menu was a little limited. Not somewhere to go for a relaxing meal or romantic dinner. Atmosphere was quite chaotic with lots of noise, staff literally running and staff confusing delivery of dishes and debating amongst themselves near diners. It wasn't packed while we were there.
We had the best experience
At Nu Thai, the staff were so friendly and attentive. Presentation was 100%. The food was amazing. Good size meals. The wine was matched beautifully with the menu. I would definitely recommend this little resturant.

To put it in perspective.resturant is full, only one or two tables free. People everywhere, delicious food coming and going. "excuse me miss, are you guys always this busy? You're managing very well! ". "This? This is normal. When I'm running; that's when it's busy! " Brilliant staff, will never leave you unsatisfied, always filling your drink before it's empty. The food is to die for! Recommend the crying tiger and whiting for appetisers!
I rate this a 3 because the food was OK and the meals were very small some of the fried food had to much batter.
My parents went out for dinner and I wanted to buy a dish for them, but to be bought out with their mains as a “surprise”. Ensuring they didn’t order it from a waiter, and bought out at the same time as their mains.
After calling the restaurant and speaking to the Manger Candy. She sorted it all and was happy to help and facilitate this logistical mess. With no notice! Absolutely fantastic and thank you very much!
Great food. Great staff. What more could you want!
Highly recommend. 5*!
The staffs are very friendly and professional but the food isn’t tasty at all. Portion is small, and not worth the money.
My feel was that it was more of a Chinese run Thai restaurant, hence lacking authenticity & food was alright
