Norwood Swimming Centre reviews
24Nice staff, came here as a kid and learnt to swim which was amazing.quality pool just don't taste the water too much as a lot of kids yk
Just wanted to get a shower while the weather is freaking cold. Paid 16AUD for a cold shower. Facilities weren't even clean. Never had a bad shower like this.
It's not bad for a simple outdoor centre. One big pool and one baby pool.
The lifesavers on duty could pay a bit more attention rather than staring blankly at one spot in the pool or socialising with other lifeguards walking in pairs around the pool edge not even looking in the same direction as the pool
Came here for a recreational swim in the middle of the day, paid entry, just to have classes of school kids taking up both the recreation lanes.instructors didn’t seem to care that this was making it difficult for other paying public patrons to use the pool
I see the deep end is labeled 2.7 m, so I must have confused it with the Payneham pool, which is 1.8 m. 2.7 m should be more than enough for diving, so I can't fathom why they removed the diving board after 50 + years?
My favourite spot for swimming, Beautiful outdoor pool, very pretty under the canopy of eucalyptus trees
I used to come to Norwood swimming pool everyday, get in the water, pee, then leave. Great memories!
One of Adelaide’s best outdoor pools! Beautiful setting with large, shady gumtrees and thick, green grass. The old-style change rooms are serviceable but could do with some updates in keeping with the period they were built. The main pool goes very deep at one end and is quite shallow at the other. However, the old filter system really pushes water through the vents which can sometimes interfere with any lap swimming, particularly breaststroke. As outdoor pools go, this one is generally very quiet, so don’t tell too many people about it!
Was pleased on pricing for a single sole parent with 3 kids, was disappointed when the inflatable water course wasn't brought out from 12.30 when website states it would be out between these times. Also my kids were told they couldn't play with a ball in deep end?
Other wise was nice shady area with seats and nice grass area.
Not sure if we would return
This pool always feels like you have discovered a secret place to swim. It is never crowded for my early morning laps and the pool is heated to a nice temperature so even on a cooler morning it is great for a dip.
Excellent friends leisure pool with wonderful kids pool. My Son is attending swimming classes every weekend and it is a great place to practice. Friendly staffs and professional instructors makes this place all the time welcoming.
Hidden gem. Staff are friendly. Very affordable and blow up obstacle course a hit with 9yr old son.
Swimming at the Norwood pool with Swim4Life. Fantastic squad of all ages, abilities. Learn to swim for adults
Staff are friendly and helpful. Beautiful clear water. This place has character, a lovely outdoor setting with trees and grass and is an absolute gem.
A cute little swimming pool down the back streets of Norwood, plenty of shading but not a lot of seeting so be prepared to be sitting on the ground.
Was there today for my daughter Sapsasa swimming qualify. Lots of shady areas. But why charge $2.50 for the spectator
Rude staff pointless pool. Even took away the only attraction which was a 1 meter off the pool diving board. Getting rid of it turned the place into a dive. Just like the units next to them. Go to adelaide pool or the one on OG rd.
The Norwood pool is always quiet and is a great place to go for a relaxing swim. In summer on Sundays they have a big blow up inflatable course. COSTS NOTHING! Bathrooms a well cleaned and maintained. Overall it's a great pool.
A favourite local pool which is never too busy, friendly staff and a well stocked canteen really seal the deal
Good, no frills outdoor swimming pool. Has lots of good points but some minor bad ones. Lovely surroundings with nice trees and birds. Has a small pool but not a lot of people use it. Cheap but no spa nor heated water. Good for summer but too cold during winter. Perfectly placed for me to use on the way home from work.
