Was told I had to book an $85 appointment to get a repeat prescription with 4 repeats left on it. Constantly being asked to hold the line, and whenever I arrived, I usually had to wait an hour, regardless of when I booked. Tried to refuse seeing my 5yr old child on the back end of covid because she couldn't/wouldn't get a test. I've moved doctors now thank god.

I have been seeing Dr. Hew since I came to Adelaide and she is amazing. I love her professionalism and highly recommend Dr. Hew. She has all the qualities of a good GP. However, there are certain things I think the clinic should seriously revamp.
1. The appointment system. There is no point booking a patient at a certain time and the patient doesn't get seen until an hour later. Worse still during super hot summer or cold winter when you have to sit outside rain or sun if you have respiratory symptoms. It is almost like the patient goes in sick but not that sick yet and the wait makes the patient even more sick.
2. The clinic should hire extra receptionists as the telephone hold can be terrible especially with the selection of music that you have to listen to, it can really trigger agitation or anxiety attack for patients with hypochondria. Should perhaps look into psychology of music if the clinic expects every caller to be hold for a long while.
3. There should be a time slot for telehealth and not asking the patient to wait anytime from morning till 5pm. This is only possible if the patient is not working. It is totally not helpful if all the patient need is a script for e.g. Vitamin D.

My experience was terrible. The Doctor decided to denied the attention based of assuming that I had covid, several times i explained that I don’t have any covid and after wait a long time she denied the service.

I came in to the GP for a mental health referral & check up. I could feel that even though the GP provided mental health care, they seem not to be knowledgeable nor sensitive enough with their approach in handling mental health distress cases.

The pre-appointment form asked only if I was experiencing respiratory symptoms, which I was not. At the appointment I got written off as having COVID before I even got to explain my symptoms, because I mentioned having an elevated temperature 24 hours earlier. The doctor moved me outdoors and completely stopped listening to what I was actually there to discuss. Instead she wrote a referral for a PCR, ended our appointment as quickly as possible and then still charged me for a double appointment. The reception staff member was rude and dismissive and spoke patronisingly to me when I asked her to explain the charges. Such an awful experience for my first time at a new practice, especially while already unwell - I don't recommend and won't be returning

Waited 45 minutes for my appointment, doctor wouldn't prescribe medication, Waste of time and money would not recommend this practice.

The doctor refused to treat me the monent she saw on my file that i have "respiratory" problems. Intially when i went they asked me to do a pcr test and thats what i have done. Although i was negative with my rat test. I went for the follow up consult with a negative prc result and she refused to see me again. Does respiratory issues only occur due to covid these days? Or should a doctor refuse to see a patient even with negative pcr test? What is the rule here?
Never going to see any doctor in this clinic again. In my opinion the doctors didnt have any empathy towards a patient. They held the door open for me out of their office without even wanting to listen to my problems. The word "respiratory" scared them I guess.

My family has been attending this surgery since 1984. Now my adult son and his partner do. It's becoming too popular tho as wait times can blow out a bit but that's not a problem

The medical receptionist handled a variety of situations (including a rather impatient person) amazingly well today

Worse clinic ever been. Reception staff are with unprofessional impatient attitude. Even don’t clear with COVID injection policies. We been told them we been booked and eligible for injection. And we been checked with Sa COVID hot line. And most ridiculous things is we been waiting to get the vaccine for an hour. Those people come after us are been done first.

We have been going for years to Norwood family practise, have never been disappointed. All the staff and doctors are extremely helpful and through in their practise. They go above and beyond to accommodate you and provide best health care. They continued to provide services to the community even in the toughest times of pandemic. My whole family is very grateful to have found this practise. Thank you so much

I have experienced a number of surgeries in the past decade in Adelaide but I'm glad I found this one around 2 years ago and now my whole family is committed to it. The doctors here are really good and knowledgeable. They give you proper time for consultation rather than just flipping numbers to turnover their business. Unfortunately it means that there may be a bit of wait sometimes but they are generally on time. Getting the right diagnosis is really important and that can't happen in few minutes, like some of the other surgeries do. Highly recommend this family practice if you prefer right diagnosis over quick turnaround! Once you are a registered patient with them, they truly become your "Family Doctor" and look after you. The reception and nursing staff are also very helpful and go out of their way to suit your needs. Thank you Norwood FP for providing quality care when we need it.

Fantastic staff and doctors. My wife has been going here for over a decade. Yes, sometimes you need to wait past your appointment time but that's because the doctors spend whatever length of time is required with each patient rather than rushing people out the door.

I don't recommend this clinic to my worst enemy, waste of money, waste of time

I was sent to hospital as dr said my situation was emergency, I wasted all day in hospital and they said my situation is not emergency

I paid $118 for long season, what I had finally was losing my day, losing my money, finally I've booked another gp to do the same thing, which they couldn't do in a full day, for me in 15 min instead of a full day

I had an awful experience there with 2 different doctors. I've left in tears multiple times. I would rather cut my legs off then endure the negligence of these doctors. Also, the younger receptionist was empathic but the older blonde one, would rather be rude to the younger one and excersise authority, barking orders at her than look after patients that have trouble standing from a horrific injury. Please save yourself the upset and don't bother going there.
