Ninh Kieu Mekong Vietnemese Restaurant reviews
7Absolutely the best Vietnamese restaurant around town, I absolutely love every dish. Plus the customer service and the karaoke is top quality ️ highly recommended
This restaurant seriously can not be bothered updating their menu. The bill never matches the food items and is always more. They always have big parties on the weekend where the majority of tables belong to one group. If you are coming on a single table, be prepared to be the odd ones out. There is karaoke and you can sing on stage or at your table.
Food is okay but expensive. E.g, fish will set you back $100, chicken salad $70, quails $96, and the fried squid was $50.
Booked a table of 8 for dinner and we were looked after extremely well. We ordered 9 dishes in total and you could not fault any of them. Absolutely fantastic food and sevice. I was positively very surprised by the end bill also, very very good value. Freshness, service, menu selection and value all on point. Very hard to recomend a dish as they are all very delicious.
My mother lives in the retirement village right behind this restaurant. The karaoke is so loud, even people living a couple of rows back can feel the bass pumping through the walls. Just a little closer, and the (usually very off key) singers can be heard. No one there would have any objection to this (partly because the bad singing is pretty funny sometimes lol) if it was limited to reasonable hours. People have a right to make money and have fun, obviously.
But the noise frequently goes on past 11: 30pm and occasionally as late as 1am. I have recently learned that the owners have been told by the authorities they must stop the loud music at 10: 00pm, but can continue a little longer on weekends.
Some of the people living here are very ill and the lack of consideration for them is very disappointing. The residents have done all they can to get the owners to abide by the rules, but they have been callously ignoring them.
I originally posted a 3 star review. But in light of this additional information, I think I was being too generous.
I'm sorry to put this to potential customers because you should only have to think about enjoying yourselves, but I think the only thing left, is to ask anyone who visits this restaurant to please insist on turning the volume down at 10pm, or maybe consider going to a different restaurant since the owners obviously don't care.
Thank you and sorry for the long review
If you’re foreign to vietnamese culture coming here will be a new experience, there’s karaoke and usually a good community of vietnamese people that come here #fob if you’re coming here for the cuisine go for lunch time or dinner when its #loud
Today was my first time at this restaurant. The food was fantastic and excellent service. I will certainly go again. If anyone hasn't been there, I would strongly recommend it.
