Nightcap at Rose & Crown Hotel reviews
16 Stayed Rm10 - road noise & other guests were noisy. Lots of street light coming through the blind.
The bed mattress needs replacing
Collapsed on one side.
It was a really clean and tidy room. Everything you could expect.
Clean linen and coffee/tea area etc.
Staff were great. Mix up with booking was sorted
Rooms are small but seemed quite well kept, bathroom is tiny like the size of a public toilet stall, the hand basin is in the bedroom outside the toilet/shower cubicle.
Miserable woman behind the front bar. If she put as much effort into her work as she did her gossiping she would be bearable
We have stayed at the Rose and Crown for almost 2 weeks now, whilst visiting a loved one at the Lyell McEwin Hospital. Michael the Venue Manager could not have been any more helpful, supportive or caring than he was! All the staff have been fabulous during our stay, and made us feel like part of the family. Rooms are recently renovated, clean and simple with an amazingly comfortable bed. No meals available, but plenty to eat around the surrounding car park. Locals are a bunch of good people, if you take the time to have a chat. We are actually going to miss our stays here. We will be back! Thanks again Michael. Warm wishes, Tamara and Titch from Mount Gambier SA
Wasn't charged the quoted price. Was told I could pay daily as was staying 3 maybe 4 night as a family member was in hospital and weren't sure how long my stay was going to be. Each day the price went up.
The Manager was excellent going out of his way to make sure we were happy and looked after.
Great rooms and excellent service, for an affordable price!
I stayed for 12 days, to work at lyell mcewin and needing a microwave and cutlery so I wouldn't need to buy out for every meal and both Rina and Chris were so helpful, they provided me with a microwave/cutlery and plates which will helped me out a lot.
The beds are large and comfortable, there is even netflix capability on the TV, air-conditioning is nice and cold and the rooms are clean.
Bathroom is a touch smaller than some other places might be, but still large enough to be functional. And I still prefer this hotel because of the aforementioned.
Also right next door to some grocery stores and their is a pub downstairs (don't worry the music is never too loud and shuts off anyway about 9 or 10pm).
Would happily book again next time I am in Adelaide:)
Good food!
Staff were rude and lacked compassion. During my meal in the bistro l was stared down by one of the elderly patrons to the point of me bursting into tears and requesting to have my meal taken to my room. I advised the staff of this and they said and did nothing to help me just turned away. While l had tears streaming down my face I left to eat my now cold meal alone in my accommodation upstairs. For the remaining 4 days I stayed here for work purposes I remained in my room. Passing through the bistro to avoid any other racist patrons also having an issue with me or someone of my colour eating in the bistro. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Have never felt so disrespected or cast out before.
Above a noisy pub/bar. Hallway leading upto room was freezing cold, and felt very unsafe. Booked for several nights but moved to another hotel after one night stay here. Room was clean, but dated. Wifi wouldn’t connect and TV wouldn’t work. Check in for hotel is in the bar of the pub area. Underwhelming.
Arrived 11.11.19
My daughter and 3 grandson's had to make an emergency trip to Adelaide as one of my grandsons needed surgery on his hand due to an accident.
We had booked accommodation at another apartment which unfortunately did not meet our expectations. So we found this little hotel, we were so impressed with the family room Very clean and comfortable.
Upon arrival which was quite late, the two girls at reception/bar, were excellent! Wish I got their names. Thankyou girls.
We didn't use any other facilities as we arrived late and had to leave the next day due to my grandson in pain.
We highly recommend this hotel, and will be coming back to stay on better circumstances. Thankyou
Quite cosy. Close to residential noise but also situated in a great place right next to a mall. Would stay there again.
Not a place for fair prices. I would give this place a wide bearth. Its my local at just a couple of hundred meters from home, and it makes me sad. It wasn't always that way, but they have lost me
Rooms are great, tidy and clean, no walking down the hall for a shower or toilet, the shower was hot and plenty of water.
Staff are very friendly, menu reasonable price wise, very glad we made it our first o/night stay from the airport.
The lamb chops and lambs fry were amazing. Just like grandma would make. Service superb and quick and super friendly.
Comfy beds. Great shower. Loved the breakfast boxes. Kitchenette was just a microwave and fridge (would have loved a toaster to be there). Found the two bedroom apartment very comfortable and roomy. Would stay again!
What can you say about the Local drinking hole, an institution that you could always catch up with Friends, order a Meal, Dancing, so many memories
