14DO NOT STAY HERE! There was blood on the door frame of my room when I checked in. I told the cleaner about it, came back later that evening and it was still there! Also, straight after checking out, I realised I left an item in my room & the staff would not let me back in the building! Nor would they collect the item & bring it downstairs to me, told me I had to wait an hour until they opened. Save yourselves the hassle & find somewhere else!
I stay here every couple of weeks, for work. I tried a few other hotels and then settled on staying at the Hendon. The first reason is that the rooms are always cleaned thoroughly and properly. The second reason is that the manager, Rebecca, is the epitome of excellent customer service. She always greets my partner and I with a warm smile, and always goes above and beyond to make sure that we feel welcome. Good old-fashioned genuine customer service.
It's terrible. The room card sensor given at check-in can't open the door. It keeps failing. There is no one at the counter when you go out and come back. You can only be locked out of the room.
Very professional receptionists that double as bar staff. I was late when I arrived but delighted to be met with a smiling face. I was kind of starving but delighted that they were able to serve a chicken roll with chips at around 10pm.
Clean and comfortable with great staff. Friendly service especially Karen.she really knows her stuff
Even though it's right above the bistro and a bar, the sounds are not intruding. The room is small and great for a solo traveller one night stay.

The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was nice and clean with great air conditioning. The shower was wonderful. Would definitely stay here again.
THE ROOM SERVICE IS EXCELLENT. I WISHED THE ROOMS WERE LITTLE BIGGER AND HAD A KITCHENETTE OR A BREAK FAST BAR. THE RESTAURANT TIMINGS WERE RESSTRICTIVE AND NO BREAKFAST IS SERVED IN THE RESTAURANT.
Very affordable accommodation, neat & clean rooms. Good Meals in a Friendly Atmosphere.
The staff, in particular Mel made our stay very very pleasant. She did everything to make us welcome, treasured me that my online booking was all good and me a sure that we had a pleasant even I g. We will stay again

Staff are really great. If you are choosing to stay here, it is a bit noisy with music from the gaming room. Suggest ear plugs if you dont stay up late.
Fantastic place to stay. Simple, clean welcoming and very polite staff.
We arrived right when the kitchen closed but the bar lady (I think her name was Kaitlin) went and got our dessert for us. Such friendly and attentive staff. Well done. Highly recommend. Also because we booked direct we got complimentary breakfast in a box which was the perfect size. Thankyou again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Adelaide. Will definitely be a return customer.
Having read previous reviews about this hotel and staff I was amazed at how many whingers there seems to be out there. I can speak nothing but praises about the staff, in particular Matt and Shaneille who were most helpful and courtious. The venue itself is in the process of renovation but the place is very clean and comfortable particularly the rooms that have already been completed and I'm sure that when its all done it will be a credit to the area. Well done Matt keep up the good work.
