New Oriental Pearl Restaurant

New to the area-thought I’d try the local Chinese. Ordered through Uber Eats. Live 3 min drive away - order took nearly hour and half and when arrived was terrible. Fillet steak that costs 28.00 was tough and no flavour. Spring rolls cold as. My money will be spent elsewhere.

Great authentic Chinese food, many Hunan & Szechuan style dishes so lots of spicy options which taste amazing. Much more interesting than the typical Chinese one finds in Australia. I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly, my favourite Chinese in all Adelaide. I eat here regularly.

Use to eat at this restaurant all the time. Just like any other day, I ordered Uber eats from this store. I was just about to take a sip of my soup, but I notice a dead fly that had just been sitting on my spoon. Absolutely disgusted and never again will I think of the store the same again. If I could give this store a 0 rating, I would.

Food was epic. Delicious and generous.

Beautiful setting, very clean, and delicious dishes especially the Wasabi beef and Stir fried noodles with Beef.

Very sensational Chinese restaurant at the local suburb and I like the Thai style chicken and cumin lamb. Staff team are friendly and helpful. We've been offered a $10 voucher for next visit and we will go back again.

I can't even say how much I enjoy eating here. The food is delicious, authentic for a person who is actually Chinese, and the staff are super nice. This restaurant mostly goes unnoticed, so I think that it is super underrated. This place is my favourite restaurant for Chinese food, and I'd definitely recommend it for people who want to try, or have good Chinese food. They have dishes for everyone, and the prices are really amazing, me and my family spent not much!

If I could give zero stars I would. Rates as the worst take away meal I have ever had. Ordered mixed vegetables, chicken and mixed vegetables and fried rice. The only thing edible was the rice. The mixed vegetables were nothing but stalks and a tiny amount of spinach. I do mean a tiny amount. No hint of what the vegetable actually was as what we got was nothing more than the woody stalk. The bit that you would normally throw away. No mixed vegetables there. The chicken resembled blobs of white glue. Tasteless and very unappetising, in look, texture, very unpleasant to eat. Threw the whole lot away with the exception of the rice. Will not be back. My dog eats better than the garbage we had from Oriental Pearl Magill.

I ordered fried rice. It was so oily it was inedible and I threw it out. My other order was a duck dish. It was stale tough and dry and had obviously been reheated from the previous day. I have never been back. Don't know how they stay in business. My friends order was equally unpleasant.

Ordered food and it was delivered minus the Mongolian Lamb. Rang them and they just kept saying it was delivered. We ended up having to go down there and pick it up ourselves. They have lost a customer.

We have been going here for years for take away and dining in before covid. Lovely fresh food! Thankyou! I love the mushroom omelette! Best spring rolls!

Ordered take away dinner for 2 person on a Friday. Understandably Friday night service would’ve been busy but they didn’t start my order until I rang them after an hour wait.

Food was finally ready after 2 hours wait (had to wait another hr). Overall quality of food is 3 stars, service is 1 star. It was definitely not worth the wait. Definitely don’t recommend for take away unless you have couple of hours to spare.

Good food, they need to update their hours because it always days open but no one answers phones and it's all locked up

This is easily the best Chinese restaurant in the council area, and can compete with any highbrow restaurant in the city. The food here is seriously GREAT! Made from heart. You just have to be patient as it's ala carte. I suggest they give a welcome snack or something for the wait. We're not even Asians but just some food adventurist but I tell you, the entire family enjoyed every bit of the foreign menu! No excess seasoning and overbearing flavors. Tried the squid, ginger fish, seafood fried rice, veggie mix, tofu hot soup, etc, all on point. Let's not forget the welcoming waiter that served us ;)

Bad food coupled with bad bad customer service, I would recommend for you to try a different place if you want to enjoy your meal…

We've always seen this restaurant fairly packed with people each time we drove past it and was intrigued to try out the food.
So Instead of dining in, we did a takeaway and we were blown away!

We ordered a seafood fried rice, battered fried king prawns and beef stir fried in black pepper sauce. All three dishes came in good sized portions and tasted unbelievably delicious.
