Narnu Farm reviews
34We had a great weekend there with friends, accommodation is basic but clean and had everything we needed. Alex is knowledgeable, passionate, entertaining and extremely good with the kids during animal feeding time. Lots to keep the kids entertained throughout the day with sport equipment, playgrounds, games and nature play all available at no extra cost. Highly recommended to any family with kids under 12 or so.
Narnu Bunkhouse has been a biannual tradition for our group for a decade. The new activity arena makes up for no horse riding. The kids played in there heaps.
Fantastic animal feeding experiences and Alex was really knowledgeable and entertained the kids too. Sarah very friendly to deal with and made sure we had everything we needed. Indoor bathroom was a great addition, especially in the night. Beautiful outdoor spaces, quick to get to from Goolwa.
This time we came with a scout group. The Joeys had a fantastic time and loved the animals - even the naughty cats who kept appearing in our hall.
A bit bothersome that the BBQ is just as impossible to light as it was 7 years ago. Just buy a new ignition!
Same as all the ignitions in the kitchen of the dorm hall. Wouldn't be so bad if a functioning lighter was supplied, but the one in the drawer didn't work.
Apparently last time the leaders were here there were no indoor toilets - as someone who got up during the howling wind and driving rain to go to the toilet at 2am, I can whole heartedly say these are a fantastic addition!
It was great to see Milo again as well as the emu who I love!
It's a shame there's no horse riding anymore, but the riding arena makes a fantastic under cover play area as well as games room in the tack room.
All the Joeys would love to come back.
Thanks for having us and for the wonderfully entertaining animal feeding sessions.
Narnu Farm is a wonderful place to spend with family & friends. Over the years we have stayed in the cottages & in the bunkhouse with friends. It has everything you need for a quality getaway with children & very reasonably priced. The staff have always been very friendly & helpful. Young & old can participate & enjoy in the daily animal feeding which our children loved!
Thank you Narnu Farm
We went in the back way by accident but still blew us away. As we pulled up to the cabin Alex was mowing the lawn. And we felt welcome he looked so happy. We then pulled up to the narnu cabin from the out side it did not disappoint for something built in 1878 it didn't look over 50 years old as soon as we walked in we were blown away newish meets older but did not show its age at all. The truck ride was amzing. The hores ride for me 4 was so good the lady who did it talked to him the whole time and us. We loved feeding the animals 2 times a day all 3 difrent staff mber were woundful and we lurnt something difrent each time. Thank you Alex for going thru how you breed the ginne pigs and bird's. Understanderbley there was nothing on on Christmas day but it was still full on with the playgrounds and walking around seeing all the animals. We will definitely be back the place and animals are so well looked after by the staff who you can tell love there jobs and animals
Wow now this is something to be seen. Just amazing, everything looks original. Highly recommended.
Lots of animals to feed and hold. Kids loved it. We stayed in the bunkhouse with 4 other families. Good facilities. Inside toilets and shower was much appreciated. Our third visit and kids still want to return again. Easy drive to lots of interesting tourist locations such as seals at the Goolwa Barrage, Bikeway and bird viewing.
Both my daughters have camped there, and had nothing but good things to say about it. Infact they are begging me to book one of there family cabins for a holliday stay at some point.
First time I went here I was 7 with school camp. Then I took my children and gave them an even better experience, very happy with the staff
A fabulous hands-on farm experience for school kids.
Great staff are very friendly.
Only 4 stars due to accommodation being very basic, but clean and functional.
Great experience for kids! Amazing and Friendly hosts/managers Alex and Sarah, spotless clean facilities, lawn and garden and farm are all well looked after. Highly recommended.
Have been here many years ago with my parents. Had a great time there and learning how to ride a horse and take care of it. The cook, Mary made the best breakfast dished. Not suited for disabled kids because they haven't put a ramp at the front door of these cabins. Or there is no showerseat installed in the bathroom.
We have stayed here for 2 nights this year after Christmas! The riding course is amazing! Kids love it.a
Also the animal feeding time both adults and kids enjoyed it!
Highly recommend for family staying!
Have been on two school camps with my kids and we loved it! Hosts are friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. Activities are fun and exciting. Bunk house facilities are good. Highly recommended.
My son had a school camp there last week and he a very good time with many different experiences
FANTASTIC! Is definitely a word I'd use to, not only describe this place, but also for the staff. This has entertainment for both the kids and the adults. Twice a day you can help staff feed the animals and also hold certain animals and the kids LOVED it! You can also ride horses and get on a big red truck to be driven to hand feed the horses as well. Location is right near the river and also close to Goolwa beach. Accomodation and facilities were clean and also well priced. It was just a heap of entertaining, enjoyable fun! We've rebooked for next year already. Definately recommend Narnu to all families!
Lots of animals to feed and hold. Kids loved it. We stayed in the bunkhouse with 3 other families. Good facilities. Only negative was toilet block outside.
Absolutely beautiful staff great food and gorgeous animals Ollie the emu is as friendly as too thanks again from the OAC students and Parents.
The gang at Narnu Farm are fantastic. I'm a primary teacher and I have a permanent booking for my year 5/6'. We head over in term 4 every year. A must camp for primary schools.
Came here as a kid, and found it buy mistake whilst out exploring so thought we would go there and say hello.we felt that we weren't welcome there.which is a shame
