Naracoorte Caves National Park reviews
69This is a fantastic place to visit to take in and admire nature at its finest. Great food in the cafe and staff were all welcoming and knowledgeable
Very interesting place to visit for children and adults. Caves are safe. Staff at visitor centre is super helpful and friendly.
The self guided cave was great for my 5 and 7 year old. As was the info centre it's really well done. The playground is also awesome.
The tour guides and office staff are very helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to make our day at Naracoorte Caves exceptional. We ended up adventure caving after our cave tours which I highly reccomend as it was a lot of fun.
We had an exceptional guide, Frank.
He talked and gave fantastic information, with a great sense of humour.
Loved it!
Great visit to this heritage list site. Very interesting to learn about the dinosaurs and how the caves were an integral part. A good walk across the top. Book underground tours a day ahead as they can get booked out.
I can’t believe more isn’t spoke about this place.
If you’re up for the challenge then navigating one of the adventure caves will get your adrenalin pumping. With the caves staying at a constant 17 degrees centigrade, Naracoorte Caves is a destination for all seasons.
Palaeontologists have excavated and dated many of the fossils in Naracoorte Caves. They have reconstructed the skeletons of many of the megafauna that lived so many years ago.
Of the 28 known caves in the park, four are open to the public. Other caves are set aside for scientific research or to protect the caves and their contents.
Stalactites and stalagmites have formed over half a million years as minerals gather and drip from the earth above.
It’s one for the bucketlist!
I loved the caving experience the best because we had a great guide/instructor and group. It was my first time caving and I loved it.
World class tourist attraction- caves, walks cafe. Each cave has a different focus so there’s much to see. Watching the bats launch from a cave mouth at sunset was a highlight.
One of the must visit place for everyone who loves Mother Nature. You'd be able to know how our world that we live in was formed and whom does it belong to.
Had good fun with the lads exploring the caves. The cafe here is also very good. There's no phone reception but they do provide free wifi.
The caves were amazing to see and the staff were very knowledgeable.
The fossil exhibit left a lot to be desired; many of the exhibits were damaged, some of the lighting over notice boards with info on the exhibits were not working - $15 is way too much for a very lacklustre exhibit.
A little expensive and would have to spend an entire day there to see every cave as the tour times are limited. Though a very beautiful place and the cave we did see was superb! Beautiful Cafe and great history to read and the display was amazing!
Great area. The camping area was clean and well set up, the walking tracks were well set out with good signage, well worth a visit
Beautiful caves with lots of features but probably a little over hyped when considering many other smaller caves in the region (Princess Margaret Rose & Tantanoola) nonetheless the history here is absolutely marvellous to listen to. Easy access and good signage to get there.

For a UNESCO site, The Heritage walk was poor, signs not readable. Trees across walkways. Displays were run down and at times damaged. Standard should be higher.
Arrived in time for the last tour of Alexandra cave lead by a friendly male guide - nice bloke. His knowledge of the caves was amazing and the caves were mote amazing. My wife and I highly recommend that everyone spend at least 1 - 2 hours on your holiday trip and stop off at the Naracoorte Caves
This place is a beauty, just nature being nature. I loved it. Went into 3 caves, Alexander cave and Victoria Fossil cave was with a tour guide. The 3rd cave stick-tomato cave was self guided. The food in the was good too, i enjoyed the chai latte.
Stunning. Worth a look. Kids really enjoyed the tour. It was a little pricy to take the family and especially if you wanted to view all of the caves. Glad we made the stop.
