Nangawooka Flora Reserve reviews
11A fun walk and a good time to take photos of the name and plant you like so you can add more native and bio-diverse plants to your garden at home
This garden would have to be one of the best Australian native gardens that I have visited.
It is beautifully done and so obviously looked after with great skill, love and care by volunteers.
I really enjoyed walking around it and would like to thank all the volunteers for their efforts.

It's really cool how it's all native plants, and every single plant has it's own sign. I noticed that the signage was slightly inconsistent. Most had all the genus names in capitals and the species name in lowercase, but some all of it was lower case, and some just had the genus name and then the common name in quotation marks but really that's not a big deal at all. All managed by volunteers which is very cool.
This has a fantastic display of Australian plants, beautifully presented. A real credit to all volunteers involved.
This place is definitely the garden of Eden. It has great meandering paths leading to to a plethora of Australian native plants. There are birds of every type and even the odd possum or sugar gliders can be seen. If natives is your turn on as it is mine then you should get down to Victor Harbor and drop into Nangawooka (Aboriginal for Place of Springs) and enjoy the peace and harmony of the gardens. There is plenty of parking space.
This is a well set out botanic park cared for by volunteers. A nice shady spot. Let's keep it a secret.
A place with natural beauty showing off Aussie flora. Gorgeous when in flower especially. Relaxing place to stroll around and great for photographers.
A great little reserve with lots of flora and bird life. Always guaranteed to see the little Fairy Wrens. Great for the photographer
Went there for a native plant sale so didn't see a lot of the reserve. But I do like the fact that they label a lot of the plants growing there so you can identify them. Them seemed to be a diverse range of native flora on display
Wonderful little piece of remnant forest, well 5 acres of it actually.
Replanting started in the early 1980s, with over 1250 varieties of Australian Native plant on display.
Considering it is close to a major entry intersection into Victor Harbor, this is a very tranquil and quiet place to meander and meditate with nature. It is a great place to observe the changing of the seasons.
This is a delightful and unpretentious area, loving developed and maintained by a committed group of volunteers. Recommend highly.
