Nan Hai Pu Tuo Temple of Australia reviews
25Updated Dec 2023 - Was finally able to enter the temple premises after several attempts. Limited opening hours (pictured) The Temple is still under construction though. There is a small temple that is open for worship at the moment. They have a grand plan.the temple will be massive once finished. The standing buddha statue is magnificent and definitely worth a stop on your way down south. We were also lucky to get some food (free offerings- blessings) the day we visited.
Stumbling upon this Buddhist temple was a serene surprise. The potential of the place is evident, and the scent of incense added a beautiful touch to the atmosphere. The fact that it's free to enter is a bonus, though we were unsure about the extent of our exploration.
While we saw no one during our visit, it seems others ventured further. Imagining the temple's beauty at sunset is enticing, and it left us with a sense of awe. It's a hidden gem with promise, and I hope to witness its completion someday.
Went to visit on Thursday but it was closed despite it saying it was open. Very disappointing. No answer on phone number
It is a very nices place. I really did like It there. I really do love love my Buddhists.love it a lot.
What a huge Buddha, fantastically made with a view toward the sea. Go and look. Well worth it.
The surrounding area should be undergoing some construction but still able to get a view of the Guanyin statue nicely
Once fully complete this is going to be a significant tourist landmark. Still so much to do however there is still much to see. A real surprise while travelling along the highway
Great place to visit even though still under construction. Hopefully the government and people in South Australian could assist the temple. It would be great place to become a tourist spot and also it would be a great retreat centre to learn meditation and Buddhism. Human being need to learn how to calm down their mind and heart. It would make the world peaceful. Can't wait to see them finish the construction.
The place is under construction and it was a shame that we couldn't go into some parts.will come back and visit once it completely built up, must be amazing!
This was one of the stranger places I've ever visited. Nan Hai Pu Tuo Temple is tucked away off the highway, and the inconspicuous entrance is found next to a dirt parking area. There's indications of construction everywhere, and the signage is unclear. However, it's still one of the coolest places in SA!
There are two main statues to visit and a small place of worship filled with religious artefacts. A large structure is being built overlooking the ocean. I agree with other reviewers that the SA Government should support the project - it would be a great attraction in the area.
All fenced off because of building the place still.never see one person in the place.bit disappointing really
The tempary temple was open, the personal attending there, were rude, more interested in getting you to donate $50.00 for a roof tile, with your name on it, and instead of explaining rules for children, they waited until the children did something wrong, then told them off. This should have been avoided if the area was roped off.
Beautiful place with positive vibes, can't wait to see the whole temple when it's completely built.believe it or not, this statue is just one corner part of the whole plan.its going to be gorgeous I'm not even buddhist but this place felt very calm and soothing
Brilliant for Australia which is a melting pot of cultures and which should strive on its multicultural stand point.
We drove all the way from Maitland NSW to see this as it says it open and we got there at 12 and the gates are closed waist of time when ya cant even go in
It's never gets finish
There is a lot of building material but it does not get to where it should
It looks bad and if they can't get it fixed it should be removed as it is not appropriate to be there as a skeleton
The scenic views around the temple are beautiful. I drove from victor harbour and stopped at few lookouts. This drive and place must be in your bucket list. The temple is still in construction and not allowing us to the buddha statue. A peaceful place to spend some good time.
Beautiful place is under construction but it is really beautiful location, have a great view to the sea and really calm
What a beautiful location. I look forward to seeing the completed temple. As it stands already this ornate location is exquisite
Celebrated the passing of the spirits, and what a beautiful offering to Buddha and I noticed she doesn't mind a chocolate or two.
The Temple is coming together and their vision is well on its way to being realised.
Yummy lunch too.
