Probably the best I've been to in 3 cities. Food is spot on. Polite timely service and comfortable place.

The best Japanese restaurant in Adelaide!
I highly recommend the sushi and sashimi boat.
Excellent staff and service

Just had a really lovely dinner with old friends at Nagomi. Terrific food and attentive staff. A great experience all round.

Service is top notch. Two lovely girls with great service. However the food is very disappointing, which doesn’t match the price at all. Food is too salty, fried squid is too dry. I was pretty hungry and it normally makes the food more tasty. However, I have very unsatisfied food experience. Three points mainly because for these two lovely waitresses.

My favourite Japanese in Adelaide - never disappoints except for when I arrive too late and they have closed already.

This one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Adelaide. Nice atmosphere, delicious food and polite customer service.

Service was good.
However the food is really not that great. Sushi rice was dense, probably made from a machine. Nothing special with the food. Unremarkable. I expected a lot more for this price range.
Disappointing.

I found this restaurant underwhelming. My wife and I both rate it at 2.5, but I have rounded up as act of generosity.

Nothing was awful, but nothing was outstanding either.

The service was "cool" at best. I suppose I could interpret this as a subdued Japanese ambience, but that would be generous. It took over 10 minutes for us to be served to place an order. No table water was provided, and the drinks we ordered, and table water, didn't arrive until a further 10+ minutes, with the meal.

The Advertiser reviewer in 2017 described the slow-cooked pork-belly as ". Slab of loin that they reckon has been simmered for three days is such a wobbly, juicy, disintegrating joy. ".

Not this time! It was dry, and pretty much a slab of boiled meat. Perhaps the chef has changed.

I had the ramen, that was less interesting and/or flavoursome than the fabulous range at Ryo's Noodles in Gouger Street.

My wife had Unagi Don (grilled eel on sushi rice). It was fine, but not overly interesting, and not worth $30.

We also had gyoza. It was OK.

On entry to the restaurant the fragrance of the dashi and sukiyaki comes to you. Unagi rice (eel) is one of the best I have ever had.

Tempura is also very delicious. Saikyo yaki (black cod) is really good.

Highly recommended. This is one of the go-to dining in Adelaide in my opinion.

Finally we found a real Japanese restaurant in Adelaide after we have tried so many. Great authentic food and services! Definitely recommended!

The food was very nice when it eventually came out. Prawn Tempura, Simmered Kingfish Cheek and Roast Duck Yuzu sauce.
We thought $4 for a small bowl of rice (no more than half a cup) was a bit rich. However it was nice japanese rice and was filling.

My partner and I had an amazing night dining here, the service was exceptional and so was the food. Zero complaints on our side and it was a perfect night, amazing attention to detail.

Authentic Japanese restaurant, including the sushi and sashimi boat. First quality ingredients and great customer service. They also offer a sake tasting which is very interesting.

An excellent restaurant with minimalistic but clean styling. A good range of menu choices for both food and drinks. Staff are attentive and friendly providing a great service experience. Food came in good time and was most enjoyable. Our group enjoyed the experience very much with some having been before and all likely to return.

The sushi boat is great value and between two of us, we struggled to polish it off. The karage chicken was also particularly good and served piping hot. Friendly service and an authentic Japanese restaurant which also sells some crafts at the front counter

Excellent sashimi and sushi platters. Having been to Japan a couple of times, this is one of the few restaurants in Adelaide that serves authentic Japanese food with the freshness and flavours you would expect.

So tasty. Pretty cheap too as far as i can tell. Try the green tea beer:) We had the sushi/sashimi platter between two, and i could have had more to be honest, but it was great, and the staff were lovely
