Murray River National Park reviews
24Bit of a corrugated dirt road input no issues. Could get slippery when wet. Have to book and pay online. No help number.
Amazing place for all ages. Fishing, kayaking and camp-fire cooking. One of my favourite places.
Best way to see is on a Riverboat. 7 of us had a fabulous time and definitely will be doing it again.
Nice. Hot day
Beautiful swim in Katarapko creek. Nice level site with easy access to water.
Great camping spot only 2.5 hours from the city
Choice of sites either close to drop toilets or more isolated.
River quite high so a few spots were unavailable
Bring your own firewood
Great for kayaks, canoes or SUP boards
Fabulous for birdwatching. Brilliant scenery even if not the prettiest. Amazing ecosystem. More interesting the further you venture. 4wd essential to explore deeper.
Not exactly a pretty NP. However, along the Murray River and the magestic gum trees was really great. Primitive camping on huge and private sites. Loved our 3 days here.
National parks are the best idea we ever had. Absolutely American, absolutely democratic, they reflect us at our best rather than our worst.
Great Camping spot for the Great Outdoors. The pics are at Katarapko Creek which is in the National Park.
$13 a night.
Lots of room for everyone.
You may need to bring a portaloo with you if you plan on staying there a night or two.
Camps spread well apart. Just be mindful that the long drop toilet can have a wait at times, and not all sites are along the main fresh flowing water of the Murray River.some of the tributaries are damned off, so might not be good for bathing water even
Beautiful river, river murray national park has plenty of activities to do, many towns close by. Will come back!
Real good place for camping. Styayed 2 nights camping there. Beautiful view. Good for fishing and canoeing. Lots of Kangaroos and Possums to be seen at night times and early mornings. Several bird varieties can be seen throughout the day, good for bird watchers.
Great spot for fishing and camping. Spent a night with the family and the kids loved it. Each camp spot was signposted to make finding your camp easy. Fantastic price for the incredible views and space. Felt like total isolation. The roads in were fine for a 2wd. Lots of wildlife. The drop toilet was a bit of a walk but it was clean and usable. Just a pity the people who camped before us left lots of rubbish, toilet paper, beer bottle lids and cig butts everywhere and rubbish in the firepit.
Wonderful scenery lots of Birdlife, I am an avid photographer so was great for photography especially sunset
We enjoyed a very peaceful night on the banks of the river at Lyrup Flats. Huge camp sites. Plenty of room to move and perfect views of the river. Nobody else in sight. Probably because school has started again for most and the weather is still quite warm. Just perfect for us middle aged fogies!
Serenity in the midst of picturesque scenery. Canoeing from 9am to 3: 30pm with various toilet break in between, times just fly. Fully recommended.
Loved this as it was peaceful, birds singing, fish jumping out the water this morning, a beautiful walk to do, absolutely recommend it. The scenery is lovely especially early in morning. ️️
Great camping, well set up and with toilets. Beautiful area with great river access and plenty of room for families.
Lovely park. Pity about those noisy corellas. Won't be going back until some thing serious is done to get rid of a few thousand noisy ones.
