Mount Pleasant Hotel Motel reviews
34Absolutely amazing meal and very well looked after seeing as we had a big group. Nice atmosphere and sensational pub
We ordered a pair of burgers which were both very overdone, dry and firm. It was quite unpleasant to eat if it were not for the sauce. The ingredients in the special burger in particular were very bland.
The schnitzel was good.
Always a good feed and the staff are polite and pleasant.
A few more cheaper specials would be nice occasionally.
The hotel is brightening up its colour and decor which is good to see.
We went here for lunch on Sunday. Had lunch on the deck on the back of this truck, actually! Nice shady, peaceful location. Our meals were nice. The cheesy garlic bread could have been toasted a little longer, but other than that, all the meals were really nice and tasty. The side of sweet potato chips was a favourite. Reasonably priced and the staff are really friendly. Would definitely visit again
They have very lovely staff members funny, kind and friendly. I had the lemon lime bitters and the chicken schnitzel, the bitters was stronger than I'm used to but it was delicious regardless and the chicken was just right and tasted better than a lot of schnitzels I've had in the past.
Over all I had a great experience.
I went there for lunch on Sunday. Had the roast of the day which was pirk. The meat was good but the vegetables were terribly undercooked. I don't kind partially cooked vegetables but these were practically raw. The desert was good for 10 dollars and beer nice and cold but overall a tad disappointed with the mains.
Might want to either update your opening hours OR conform to what you have advertised. TRIED to frequent the establishment within advertised hours only to be turned away.considering this the ONLY current hotel in the township, it's quite disconcerning that it doesn't even maintain its advertised facilities.
When this pub reopened it was great, we were so happy to have a good local pub. Always good service however Since opening there has been a slow decline in food quality and taste. After todays lunch we won’t be going back. We have given it so many chances as we like to give the benefit of the doubt but today was the last straw. We ordered 2 beef schnitzels with garlic sauce and 2 soft drinks - $59. We didn’t see anyone else in the pub and it was a long wait for these meals. When they arrived we had to add so much salt for it to have any flavour, the $4 garlic sauce was very average, couldn’t taste garlic and not seasoned, the chips were like cardboard and my partners schnitzel was soggy and said the sauce tasted like flour. Schnitzels shouldn’t be a difficult meal to make but today seemed quite the contrary.
I guess we have been spoiled by the amazing meals at the birdwood hotel- a ‘must visit’ if you’d like a great meal.
Beer was nice and cold, friendly staff. The pizza wasn't nice. It was ice cold in the middle, rang and complained offered a replacement but we had gotten back to the caravan park and didn't want to go back. So we would never buy another one.
We have had beautiful food in the past though
Pizza from tonight was fantastic, just the right amount of toppings and the base and crust was perfect, we will most defiantly be back for more, highly recommend
Pork snits weren't cook and extremely fatty, my friend order the porterhouse med/well came out rare, vegetables were tiny and bland.
Very average meals and not cheap. Plus we got ripped of at the till.
Wouldn't recommend and wont be back.
Beautifull historic building. Friendly capable staff. Cold beer. Great meals. Reasonable prices. 10/10
Have eaten here a few times and it's been okay but had shocking meals Friday night. My creamy chicken was pretty tasteless and I couldn't eat the two tiny carrots they were so old and rubbery and the cauliflower had brown spots! My husband's pasta was pretty ordinary as well. All for $56 too. We'll think twice before going back again.
Great Schnitzels, good gravy. Parmi was beautiful. Good size. Kids serving size is great chicken strips and burger fantastic. Recommend
Everyone was friendly, staff were great, the meal was nice but my T-Bone steak was chewy, not medium cooked as wanted, just didn't complain, so need to improve with the request on how to cook a steak
Staff were helpful polite we were on H/D 5 ov us meals were exalant gravy to good an guess whot they had a band️
I had a steak sandwich for lunch, and it was the best I've ever had. Cooked to perfection, the steak was tender and not at all chewy, no gristle. Had bacon, egg, cheese, beetroot, tomato, lettuce and a really nice chutney. The service was prompt and friendly, and the whole atmosphere was friendly and relaxed.
Bloody good burger specials, great flavours and friendly, hospitable staff.
Coopers and CC+Dry on tap, have a smoke on the back of a track and enjoy the fireplaces scattered throughout
Staff are always extremely friendly and helpful, and the meals are great, thanks for a great country pub experience
Seniors menu with good food and nice ambience, individual dining areas for small groups as well
