Mount Osmond Lookout reviews
12Great view of Adelaide. Better than Mount Lofty summit. There are no facilities so be ready.
It’s a gorgeous place. We went there to watch the sunset and it was stunning. Too windy for a picnic but amazing views. Parking is very limited so it’s best to plan your visit on a weekday
Perfect lookout during the night! Very spectacular view up the hill, you will not be disappointed. However, there are no car parks available and very dark up the hills. Please be careful when you are up there.
Beautiful place and will NOT dissapoint. Lovely viewpoint, and the atmosphere is just magical at the sunrise and sunsets.
Empty, gentle, and with a vast view, standing on the top of the mountain, you have a panoramic view of the entire city. The sunset here is as shocking as the seaside, just like the scenes in Hayao Miyazaki's movies. If you don’t want to hike, you can drive to the nearby parking lot and walk up the path.
I was here in Adelaide for family visit, just for a couple of days, and got an opportunity to go up in the Mount Osmond and it was unbelievably beautiful, the Adelaide city, we saw it all from there. We had a bit of walk as well. The environment in the evening was very fresh and the town was just about to go into the (lights on) mode. Simply beautiful. I reckon it'd be an amazing place to go out for a dry picnic with friends and family. A must go spot when anyone is in Adelaide.
#partiallyblind_approved. Great place switch it up and train your eyes to focus on something other than a screen
It’s beautiful place! But when I see sky from there I felt someone hid gold in between clouds?
I had a great experience of this golf course. The grass was as smooth as ice links, it was wonderful.
A picturesque spot all year round! Beautiful skyline views of the Adelaide city. There are many trails in the area for a nice walk. A great place to relax if you have a picnic mat. It use to be a hidden gem but now a dangerously popular spot especially on New Years Eve. I have never seen the level of disregard for road rules and disrespect towards locals, as I saw on that day, ever in Australia. It was so crowded and given there is no dedicated parking, cars were parked everywhere including road lanes and people’s driveways. The fireworks were visible but very distant so wasn’t worth the trouble at all.
A secret track not known to many. Gives you the same lookout that you see from the Mt Lofty lighthouse area. Parking your vehicle is difficult, bit look for small spots along the Golf course. Take a good 2 hours if you wish to enjoy the walking trails here. Best time is around sunset.
