My mother (95) had a fall and recieveda nasty knock to the head and a slit finger, she was left waiting for hours, no food, nothing to drink. I'm talking 8 HOURS. She was offered a sand wich at lunchtime but it didn't show up. My mother went and got her clothes and dressed herself and walked home without telling anyone. No one noticed or checked on her. HOW CAN YOU DO THIS! Close your doors if you don't want to treat people with kindness.

Amazing staff at MBH! I recently attended a birth at Mount Barker Hospital and was amazed with the care the staff took with my client. Focussed and present and they actually had time for my client and really respected her birth wishes and plan. I am so thankful for the experience and I learnt alot. Well done Midwives at MBH.

So even after the upgrades the one thing they never upgraded was the staff. To say they are careless would not do it justice if you or your loved one is not doing well at all just keep on going to Flinders or rah even the vet would be an improvement

at atleast the seating was half ok I guess but yeah would not take my enemy here not to mention a loved one. I know things can get hectic and busy but it's not hard to be caring and actually give a stuff we are human beings and actually have that thing called feeling

I’m terribly afraid of getting needles and shots. I had to get an injection and was having a bad panic attack due to the anxiety and fear. The nurse that was going to give me the injection didn’t even try at all to calm me down, and instead tried to jab the needle into my arm while I was not looking and was screaming no; keep in mind i was tensing the arm, was moving my arms around and was huddled into a ball.
Not professional at all!
This could have easily been avoided by simply being more patient and caring.
Although, I booked to have the needle done by a doctor and he was a lot more calming.

Extremely disappointed in the service I received from a doctor at Mount Barker Hospital. Very dismissive and displayed lack of empathy/respect. Questioned me on my symptoms and didn’t believe the information I was telling him from a previous doctor. Only treatment was resolved after my partner complained to the staff out the front. I felt belittled and humiliated after leaving the consultant room.

Walked in a 7.00 pm 4 people waiting, now 11.20pm and still haven't seen a doctor asked at front desk and told oh we have no idea, I asked if it might be today, which will be a 5 hour wait and was told we don't know, if your sick don't bother coming here.
Absolutely pathetic, as busy as the RAH may be they are certainly better organised then this place

Shout out to all the staff at the hospital. I went in this morning to have a rememant of stick removed from my foot from an injury 6 weeks ago and insisted on having nitrous due to a really horrible experience the 1st time. Tamsyn (RN) and Heidi (scalpel wielder) were so reassuring, gentle and professional.

Cannot thank and praise ED staff from triage to rest of nursing staff and especially Dr Brandon Wadforth for the care for my husband and kindness to me. We have had a very negative experience from another hospital and were reluctant to try another public ED, but the friendly tone of the triage nurse on the phone was encouraging and we went. I am so grateful for how they treated us.

I just had a really good experience at the Mount Barker Hospital, I completed a form in emergency and within five minutes I saw a nurse who did all the necessary checks, then only waited another five minutes before seeing another nurse for blood work. I was expecting to wait a couple hours to see a doctor, but within ten minutes I was called in! He saw me for around half an hour, identified the problem and set me up with the next steps moving forward. It was a very smooth and stress free process with pleasant staff.

My GP referred me to Mt Barker ED. Cardiac/spleen. Admitted immediately. Staff were caring and professional. The specialist GP explained every step. Pulmonary contusion.
There was a time we would rather phone the vet than attend mt Barker A&E. They were a liability.
We are so relieved they have different staffing. With appreciation and peace of mind thankyou.

So impressed with this Team of Champions after an unexpected ambulance admission into ICU. Thank you team you are the glue that holds it all together when life suddenly feels very fragile.

I took my wife to the hospital today as she was feeling dizzy and had fainted in the morning. The staff & nurses were so warm & welcoming. Dr. Tracey checked up my wife so patiently and made us so comfortable and we never once felt rushed.
This was one of the most amazing experiences we have had at any hospital or clinic.
Hats off to everyone at the hospital. Keep up the good work. God Bless

I cannot fault anyone or anything within the Mt Barker Maternity unit. I gave birth to my beautiful son here 3 weeks ago and I have nothing but amazing things to say about the staff and the facilities. Right from my first antenatal visit through to discharge with our baby, I have felt cared for, seen, respected, validated and treated so well that I felt like I was the only patient in the hospital when giving birth. Every midwife, doctor, anaesthetist, etc provided extensive information when it came time for me to make decisions during labour, that I felt so well informed, educated and empowered to do what I felt was right in the moment. Following the birth, we received excellent care and were able to stay a few days to ensure I was recovering well and bubs was ready for his trip home. Although my birth didn’t go to plan, it was the most amazing experience of my life and I have everyone here to thank for that. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
