Mother India Kitchen reviews
22 I like Indian Food and enjoy the experience of eating out when I travel. Apart from one India restaurant in Bangalore this is perhaps the best Indian food I have ever tasted. It is certainly the best I've tasted in Australia. The cost was very reasonable and the taste exceptional.
We dined in and had five different dishes. Lamb (Rogan Josh) fish (Malabar Curry) - my favourite, chicken (Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala) and vegetable (Mixed veg Korma) and the flavours of each were simply amazing.
There were four in our party and everyone was equally enthusiastic about the quality of the meal.
If I have one complaint it was that the staff were very busy serving take away meals, the majority of which were to Indians. Which only went to confirm how good the food is here.
I think this will become a place I will regular visit when coming to Adelaide. Which, as it turns, is very convenient as it is only waking distance to where I normally stay.
But don't take my word for it. Try it for yourself.
The food is so good here! My partner and I dine in and there's usually a constant stream of people coming in to collect takeaway orders while we eat. The staff are super friendly and accommodating, and nothing is too much hassle. We order a starter, two mains and a shared rice and we're always totally full when we leave, sometimes to the point we can't finish everything. The atmosphere is comfortable and the smells from the kitchen are amazing.they make you want to order more, even though you know you're going to be way too full to eat it! The beer/wine/spirit options are modest but cover most bases, and the pricing is great for the portion sizes.
We ordered veg Samosa & it was the freshest & nicest we have ever had! Lamb Rogan Josh was so tender and delicious! The coconut rice was sensational with tiny black mustard seed in it!
Excellent food and service, very reasonable prices, this was our first visit certainly be going back.
Ordered delivery via door dash - great service and good flavour, but curries were around $22 each, and seriously 90% sauce with a few pieces of meat. Chicken was tender but beef in vindaloo was tough. Maybe it was because I ordered a deal. Bit disappointing for $60 odd.
We ordered biriyani and rose lassi. The food did taste really good but the price is high. However, given the portion size this price is reasonable. The Chicken biryani is $22. They have take way, and accept Uber delivery. Place is clean and well maintained. There’s onsite car parking available. We went on a weekday for lunch. The place wasn’t busy. But they do get phone orders and deliveries.
In adelaide for a couple of days and came back here especially as it was so good last time. Excellent food for a good price, and lovely people. Highly recommend!
I would say first time we got a perfect Indian food taste here in Adelaide. Chicken curry was an amazing Although, great ambiance & great taste.
Absolutely Awesome Vindaloo, perfect flavours and heat, definitely recommend, my new favorite restaurant ️
Order via app. Advertised delivery time was 25-35 minutes. I waited two hours. I rang five times to get an update without an answer. On the sixth time someone answered and the service I received was somewhat non existent. Once the food finally arrived two hours later, it was quite nice. Disappointing though that butter chicken was $24 and only consisted of 3 bite sized pieces of chicken.
Best Indian food in the area without a doubt.
Friendly staff, great food and very clean.
Will definitely be back.
Takeway paneer butter masala and matar malai methi. Disappointed with taste. Both are too sweet like sweets and paneer curry full of colours.
Ordered twice now / both times the food was delicious!
Update; Still the best Indian in Adelaide!
I was recommended to try out this restaurant by my mother in law (Mary). This is by the far the best Indian restaurant in Adelaide. So much of flavour. Could not fault it!
Delicious food simple and tasty at the same time. We have visited from Melbourne and tried few ones close to Glenelg but didn’t like anything then thought of driving a bit and found this amazing place to eat. Best part is my wife also loved it
I visited yesterday this restaurant the food was A1 and the reception girl was very friendly and talking very politely. Great customer service.
We wanted somewhere to dine in which was also licensed. The dining area is well decorated and comfortable. Also spotless. Our waitress was inexperienced but very pleasant. The food was really delicious. We had beef madras and a prawn with coconut cream dish. The bottle of wine was reasonably priced as well. All very good. We will be returning.
Good range and choice of entrees and main courses. Friendly staff. Good clean tasting fresh food.
I had a great time eating delicious food at your restaurant. The waitresses were committed to great service nd were very friendly. Most important every entrees nd mains on your menu tasted great! I definitely come back.
Very polite customer service over the phone and then again face to face in pick up.and once again the food was absolutely delicious and perfect.
