Mortlock Wing, State Library of South Australia reviews
11We arrived unannounced on Sunday to look for some info from the 1960's. Anne Marie was really generous with her time and she found our requested materials. Amazing! We were able to read and take pictures of the pages of interest in a reading room, before the books were returned to the storage area in the basement. We received 5 Star Customer Service and it was a wonderful experience.
Fave place to study every weekend.so pretty and each study space is like being surrounded by your own secret library.perfect lighting, really quiet, good spaced desks and outlets at every desk too.
Classic and beautiful library. Suprised at just how beautiful the library was. Must visit if in Adelaide. Hidden gem as just the photo op here should be more internationally recognised.
Breath taking, amazing architecture and fittings. Built 1884 obviously still well used today, many students at tables around the perimeter. So historic, it oozes history of a bye gone era. Magestic.
Beautiful building inside and out. One of the few historic interiors still used for it's original purpose.
Wonderful environment. Very quiet, as most people there also come for the silence. My only problem is that the chairs aren't great. They are wooden, and may get uncomfortable if you have to grind out a thesis in a day.
The architecture supersedes that of any other library in Adelaide. If you are wanting to go to a decent library, I urge you to check this marvelous establishment. You'll not only find solitude but also appreciation for just how beautiful this place really is.
Like something out of Harry Potter. The state library is worth a visit and this is a must see within library
Very aesthetically pleasing. The pictures speak for themselves.
Do be considerate when visiting as it is still a functional library.
This is such a great little spot to work from. The smell of leather bound books wafts through the hall, plenty of desks on the second level and even power points accessible via a panel on the floor. Each desk is divided by a bookshelf so you feel like you’re working in your own space. It’s fairly quiet apart from the sounds of camera shutters as it’s a fair popular photography spot. #BeatTheGrind
