Morphett Vale Charcoal Chicken

Lovely chips but there's a large discrepancy between what the website says the price is for large chips ($6) and what's on the menu when you go in ($12) so the prices might be outdated.

Wouldn't recommend this place at all hot dog was cactus lunch special 5,50 got charged 6,90 mate got chicken pack no salt on chips bland as have to be up there with the worst we have had thank God we are not local we won't be back

Amazing chicken and chips. Greek salad was great, too, and not soggy despite being the end of the day.

The shop could do with some renos and a clean up.

Called in to get my little boy some nuggets and chips and after waiting 28 minutes we received our order half cold and overcooked.
Never again.

Gross absolutely disgusting no hair nets hair in my food no gloves handling cooked food like chips grabbing chips off the bench insted of putting them I the bins they put them in with your food how this place is still open is befuddling how this place is still open health and safety needs to check this place out not to mention a homeless man came in and they refused to serve him wich needed with the man having a melt down in the shop plus they are over priced DONT COME HERE

Great chicken & best chips in the south. Wish chooks had a bit more stuffing, I like it more than the chicken. I'm adding a bit more.just bought another chicken tonight. Different stuffing. Please change back, it's not nice.

Bought hamburgers and chips.chips were good but the hamburgers were uneatable dry rolls and fillings cooked till they were dry.worst we had ever eaten

Best Charcoal Chicken down south, don’t bother with going anywhere else… family owned, friendly staff… amazing

Called and ordered a quarter chicken and chips which the online menu I looked at said it was $9.90… I didn’t want a lot of chips.so I got that and gravy and the lady didn’t quote me over the phone and when I got there it was $15! I couldn’t say anything because the man who served me was on the phone and I was in a hurry.the chicken was very nice and juicy, the chips were fine and I personally was not a fan of the gravy.

Way overpriced for the quality.
I ordered a chicken schnitzel pack and a Greek salad.

The chicken was dry and tough, I think they either order their schnitzels frozen or they don't know how to make a tender schnitzel.
Carrots and peas were not cooked through and had an odd flavour, not fresh tasting at all.

Greek salad was very weird too. They used olives with seeds in them, probably to cut costs. Never had a Greek salad where they use olives with seeds in them. The flavour wasn't right either, I don't know what herbs were used but something was weird about it.

The chips were the only redeeming quality.

Great service, very polite staff, they deal with idiots really well. Food is awesome. Clean shop, reasonable prices.

Food is pretty good. Only let down is the prices, they're slightly higher than I would expect.

Hands down the best charcoal chicken in Morphett Vale. Chickens are still moist, skins nicely cooked and seasoned. Wing tips nice and crispy. Stuffing is good. Definitely ticks all the boxes for a decent chook! Chips are always fresh, hot and well salted.
Yiros and AB packs are fantastic.
Friendly staff too!

Been ordering from these guys for a while now & they smash it every time! Even with fussy eaters (asking for well done cooked chook etc) this is 100% our go too for chicken n chips, lamb yiros are to die for on a side note

Amazing! The chips are a hit or miss but mostly they're perfect the chicken is just indescribable the service good the workers have great moods i do recomend

Went to get food tonight, shop assistants all were not wearing masks. Thought SA still had to wear masks. Been going here for years, I will be stopping now they don’t go by health directions

Yummo yiros just lacked a decent portion size.don't care if it's more meat or salad but $15 for half a yiros.come on

Good value, chickens were large, juicy and tasty, chips chunky and cooked to perfection, and generous amount of chicken salt. We also had the curried egg salad which was SO tasty! Service was friendly and fast. Will definitely be back!

The hot chips are the really thick ones that I like. I was recommended this place by a friend and it has not disappointed me at all. Very friendly staff.
